  1. Confusing to say they started at 38 so can have a 3* even though they're above 38 now?
  2. I didn't think the teams average (40.22) allowed for a 3* reserve to replace Crang, but the averages still say 3* next to Edinburgh?
  3. The September averages are up to 23rd of August so should already be "declared" if Eastbourne's results were expunged (hope it doesn't happen) I'd expect the averages to change for October!
  4. Since signing for Kent, Batchelor's scores for Sheffield haven't improved, that suggests he wasn't lowering his ave on purpose to get a Champ spot!
  5. Not everyone heralded the idea, just the ones making the decisions!
  6. They are already nearly certain for play-offs!
  7. That's what has happened to the NL this year, it's easier to score points, but not easier to step up!
  8. Gappmaier had a very short spell doubling up with Swindon in 2017!
  9. The middle tier needs to be far closer to the NDL to allow riders to progress! Even riders who can get maximums in the NDL Crang / Mulford / Smith, often score 0 at Champ level! How can a NDL rider know if he's ready for the Championship if scoring maximums at NL level isn't an indicator?
  10. The top 6 are so far clear any lack of matches raced will not change the top 6, maybe make a difference to the top 2! The biggest issue will probably be so many matches being raced after the cut off date for the play-offs, or even after the play-offs themselves, which could be hard to convince fans to turn up to watch!
  11. Kent's 2 away draws should keep them clear of the wooden spoon!
  12. Birmingham & Newcastle were open & honest with the fans & asked for help! Eastbourne chose to kept it quiet (I certainly had no idea they were in trouble till riders missed rides at Leicester) until perhaps too late!
  13. I notice the Eastbourne double header is still on the speedwayGB website, should be kept far more up to date to avoid confusion over fixtures surely?
  14. I don't understand the rule as it's different to the normal guest rules! As Newcastle are below the points limit can they bring in Sam Masters to replace Wethers - no, so should only be able to use a 2* rider to replace a 1* or 2* reserve! If teams can replace 1 or 2* reserves with a 3* reserve they should also be able to replace a 6.00 rider for a 9.00 rider if 3 points under the limit! I can't understand how similar situations have different outcomes?
  15. One thing I would say is if they call off matches whenever there's a chance of rain, they will run out of dates to race fixtures! I'd imagine you'd get bad crowds racing in cold / wet October!
  16. There is no easy answer to this, call it off early & the weather is good, people will say "should have waited"! Try & get the match on & it's rained off & people will say "should of called it off sooner"!
  17. Why did they drop him then, I thought Newcastle admitted they couldn't afford him?
  18. I doubt it as they dropped Vissing before the season started due to the budget set out! Wouldn't make sense to break said budget now!
  19. If he started racing to his 8.00 ave after signing with Kent I'd agree with you, but he's still struggling at Sheffield after gaining a Champ place!
  20. Not for yesterday's meeting, but if Freeman was missing again, they'd be legal options!
  21. could've been worse, imagine Flint or Dan Thompson replacing Freeman!
  22. If Kent aren't happy with Mulford missing matches, it's up to them to replace him!
  23. I hate that the qualifiers aren't even, 4,4,4&3 qualifying! Just have 16 qualify & if a track thinks they won't get a big crowd without a home rider - don't offer to host the meeting!
  24. Very true, the rider finishing 15th in the GPs is still a world class rider, someone has to finish last!
