In normal circumstances I'd say the Belle Vue team lacks heat winners, but has strength in depth! But with a weakened league & no go riders in sight, they could have 5 heat leaders & I expect them to make the play-offs!

What's wrong with Tero Aarnio, I'd be happy to have him in my team! -
Jamie Halder (4.63) would fit in that team!
-
Team only fits with Blair on a 4.94 ave (or less). Seems a big reduction in his average!
-
The average for each team should be about 42 at the end of each season, which is a 7 point rise, so "statistically" every rider should increase his average by one point! So you'd need to look at riders who increase they're average by more than one point as genuine improvers! However will that mean they have really improved or just that the league is weaker?
-
I don't think this would work at all, in 2019 there were 15 riders on 8+ averages & another 4 on 7+. I can't see the Championship clubs bringing on 19 new riders each season, so all that would happen is promising riders being lost to the sport!
-
Bebee could certainly score well in a weak league if he can stay injury free, meanwhile Butcher who hasn't been a great scorer did start to score better for Plymouth in 2019!
-
That's not the worst idea!
-
I forgot about them lol!

Personally I just want to see Brits fill team places in all the leagues first, then fill up spaces with foreigners, a riders age shouldn't go against him! While I have nothing against a "career NL" rider racing in the NL, I'm guessing it's not what the powers that be envisioned the league becoming! It just goes to show a low points limit doesn't guarantee riders with the most potential will get signed up, just riders on low averages will get signed up!
-
So while Leicester are championing age discrimination why just stop at riders! Sack Stuart Dickson & sign a younger team manager, tell Rob Sensicall even though he's a great announcer he's being dropped for son Tom! Is Nigel Pearson they're press officer, cause he's no spring chicken, why not sack him for someone younger too?
-
I'm sure the Leicester promotion for rate Chattin & thought Trigger would be better, but to save face etc. used the "bringing on youngsters" excuse! While this may sound kinder than announcing they have no faith in Chattin's ability - they've publicly admitted to age discrimination!

Is Jordan Palin ready for Championship speedway?

Unofficial averages for Lee Richardson: 1995..Reading..29..102..24..9..1.29 1996..Poole..35..147..64..10..2.01 Shows how riders can improve at various rates & also how tough the top division can be for a 16/17 year old of limited experience! -
How about? 1 Bjarne Pedersen 6.91 2 Michael P Toft 6.30 3 Chris Harris 6.01 4 Bradley W-Dean 5.47 5 Edward Kennett 5.39 6 Scott Nicholls 5.36 7 Jordan Palin 4.** Total 35.44 (+4)

It's a massive shame if Clouting loses his team spot because he's 0.13 above the minimum average!
-
Should use the old elite League fast track format, keeps HL's like Clegg, Flint & Bickley away from 3.00 reserves!
-
This team fits: Kent 1 Dan Gilkes 8.00 2 Jordan Jenkins 6.55 3 Rob Ledwith 5.93 4 Luke Harris 5.36 5 Jacob Clouting 3.16 6 Jake Mulford 3.00 7 Sam Hagon 3.00 Total 35.00

Is Danno Verge is based down south, would he travel up to Berwick?
-
In any other job in the country that would be age discrimination & illegal, how is speedway any different?
-
In 1996 the league was decided on % not match points, my Dad loved that season because Arena-Essex rode every week in the conference league. Nowadays I can't see how stand alone NL clubs can run with 8 home matches a year?
-
If a Premiership club gave him a team spot he wouldn't be riding in the NL!
-
You don't need to lower the minimum limit from 3.00 to 2.00 to encourage newcommers, as the limit is low every year, clubs will always need 3.00 men to fill the bottom end of the team!
-
If that's true, why would you reward teams for failure by giving them first pick? If anything should let league champions have first pick etc as they probably have the most points to shed from their team!

Kemp struggled because he went into the top 5 very quickly, which is far harder than being a NL heat leader! That being said a 3.5 ave for a 16/17 year old in their first season isn't bad!
