You also have to consider the crowd though, paying good money for some 1 lap races! They had a right a few years back, if you were losing a 5-1 & laid down for a re-run your partner started off 15m in the re-start!
I disagree, riding at number 6 gives you rides against the opposition's 1-6, plus he's had many r/r rides covering number 2 races! I don't see a great downturn coming in his form!
Having heat 8 protected is pointless, unless your weakest reserve is at number 7! For example within the rules heat 8 could've consisted of Rory Schlein & Ryan Douglas vs Hans Andersen & Bjarne Pedersen / Chris Harris / Scott Nicholls! Does that heat need protecting?
It's easy to say with hindsight, but could've use Hans more earlier on to spread out his races! However by putting your weakest reserve at 6 & giving him the hard races (after heat 2) it limits your options for "tactical" reserve changes!
I'd go with:
Home
1) Ulrich Ostergaard (r/r)
2) Chris Harris
3) Scott Nicholls
4) Michael P Toft
5) Bjarne Pedersen
6) Hans Andersen
7) Jordan Palin
