Built to always have one strong reserve!
-
Edinburgh won the league in 2015 with 2 x 3.00 reserves (the minimum average then). Both (Clegg & Branford) only finished with about 3.5 averages & stayed at reserve all year! Even if one of the top 5 had an off night, still got 4 potential double figure scorers in the team!
-
I'm not so sure about Pearson. Even if he puts 1.5 on his "actual" 2022 average he'd still finish below his 4.00 starting figure!
-
Those 6 would leave 8.34 for the final rider, which would fit Cook in perfectly (8.24). Don't imagine they would've dropped Cook in that scenario!
-
How about? Redcar Kyle Howarth 8.36 Charles Wright 7.40 Danyon Hume 5.68 Drew Kemp 5.20 Anders Rowe 5.08 Kyle Newman 4.29 Jason Edwards 3.80 Total 39.81
-
Now that the averages have been confirmed, this team fits! Scunthorpe Ryan Douglas 9.38 Michael P Toft 6.76 Jake Allen 6.30 Simon Lambert 5.20 Connor Mountain 4.72 Zaine Kennedy 4.27 Joe Thompson 3.27 Total 39.90
-
I'd possibly keep the top 3! Poole Steve Worrall 8.05 Danny King 8.05 Richard Lawson 7.97 Ben Cook 6.09 Zach Cook 4.92 Jake Mulford 2.00 Nathan Ablitt 2.00 Total 39.08
-
How about? Glasgow Ben Basso 8.52 Tom Brennan 6.71 Kyle Thomson 6.60 Broc Nicol 5.95 Paul Starke 5.11 Claus Vissing 5.00 Jake Mulford 2.00 Total 39.89
-
How about? Edinburgh Josh Pickering 8.92 Craig Cook 8.24 Justin Sedgmen 7.04 Cameron Heeps 4.33 Connor Bailey 4.32 Lasse Fredriksen 4.00 Kyle Bickley 3.00 Total 39.85
-
How about? Berwick Thomas Jorgensen 9.53 Leon Flint 7.00 Jye Etheridge 6.29 Paul Starke 5.11 Jonas Knudsen 5.00 Jesper Knudsen 5.00 Nathan Stoneman 2.00 Total 39.93

Not sure about that, Kemp has just finished with his highest ever Championship average & did enough to keep Zach Cook at reserve. Granted Kemp's scoring slowed down after he left the reserve berth, but that happens to most riders!

Complin's scores away from home were far better than at Newcastle. So if he found a track he liked, could up his average. -
Most probably assume that as the club announced he wasn't coming back before Craig did!
-
Team managers job as well as Captains surely?
-
Gotcha
-
Poole have used Danes for years though! If they've managed it before why can't they now?
-
Bickley's ave should be a point lower than Complin's, leaves room to be stronger elsewhere though!

My memory is when the RS system started, the rules said when a rider was no longer eligible to be a RS he would get a 25% reduction to help them get a team spot the following season. However they also said it was a 5 year plan, which the Championship dropped after ONE season so who knows if that rule is still in place? -
1) I think that was an old rule 2) I also think that's a stupid rule - why punish successful teams & reward poor teams?
-
Why would Belle Vue have last pick? As far as I'm aware that system was only in place for graded reserves 2013/14?
-
One thing about the super heat for draws: if you win at home by 30 then win away by 20 - that will earn you 5 league points. If you draw at home (win super heat) then draw away (win superheat) you will also earn 5 league points!
-
I agree there's no need for play-offs, but as long as fans turn up in larger numbers to play-off matches than league matches they are here to stay!

Yeah I was going with the final figures, hadn't looked to see what Newcastle matches being removed would do to the averages (apart from Newcastle riders). Once again wish the BSPL would hurry up & post final averages.
