  1. Potential 2022 team if 2021 team building rules remain in place: Leicester Joe Thompson 8.59 Danny Phillips 7.11 Tom Spencer 6.50 Ben Trigger 3.72 Mickie Simpson 3.00 Danny Smith 3.00 Kai Ward 3.00 Total 34.92
  2. Potential team if 2021 team building rules remain in place? Armadale William Lawson 8.72 Danny Phillips 7.11 George Rothery 6.07 Gregor Miller 3.20 Archie Freeman 3.00 Lewis Miller 3.00 Danny Smith 3.00 Total 34.10
  3. Best team I can predict if 2021 team building rules remain in place: Berwick (34.65) Kyle Bickley 8.97 Greg Blair 7.48 Ben Rathbone 4.00 Mason Watson 3.87 Keiran Douglas 3.71 Elliott Kelly 3.62 Danny Smith 3.00
  4. I'll predict Poole to win 52-38. Certainly want the team that topped the "qualifying table" to win the "unnecessary" play-offs for the league title!
  5. Adam Ellis first match for Scunny was 25/6. So June Premiership average is converted (x1.5) & used. Sheffield's June aves were any fixtures up to & including May 23rd. Ellis didn't ride for Sheffield till 27/5. So his June ave must've been his last 20 Prem matches in 2019! So instead of using his 2019 Champ ave, he uses his 2019 Prem ave converted! Is that not daft?
  6. When Adam Ellis signed for Scunthorpe he used his Sheffield CMA x 1.5 despite having a 2019 Champ ave. So in 2022 what's to stop the reverse from happening? Ellis signs for a Champ side on his 7.66 ave but not for a Prem side. Then after a week joins a Prem side on a converted ave (7.66 / 1.5 = 5.11) rather than his Prem ave of 8.12! The same could happen to Anders Rowe 4.09 / 1.5 = 3.00 (minimum ave) rather than 4.46 or Cameron Heeps 4.95 / 1.5 = 4.00 (minimum ave) instead of 5.10! It's like the rules almost encourage teams to "think outside the box" and wait to sign riders on converted aves! I looked at 3 riders with Prem aves higher than their Champ ones to illustrate this point!
  7. I'm sure Wolves had 2 home ties, with big crowds before racing Eastbourne in the final! Was better financially to finish 2nd than 1st!
  8. Given it was a "5 year plan" what are the chances the "rising star" rule will be dropped after ONE season?
  9. Could have raced the first leg at Poole on Wednesday if they were worried about being rusty!
  10. I feel the Championship needs to be weaker, 1) to encourage the likes of Poole / Glasgow / Leicester to step up 2) to shorten the difference between Champ & NDL for riders trying to step up! At the moment riders can score maximums at NDL level but not score a point in the Champ! Makes it tough to know if you are good enough to step up! 3) if it makes the Champ a cheaper league to run - bonus!
  11. The disappointing thing about the U-21 rule is after the heroics of Bewley to come in & win on the second day, he'll probably be dropped for 2022!
  12. I made that comment last year & got laughed at for my suggestion! If the pairs is 4-3-2-0 to encourage team riding / the best team rather than the best individual, why isn't every team match 4-3-2-0?
  13. I actually thought that, give Brennan another ride (in place of Lambert), also give Lambert time to clean his bike / cool his clutch etc.
  14. Although Brennan was unbeaten, GB would still have won if they didn't use an U-21 rider! Actually Poland would have still top scored with no reserve & Denmark also would have made top 3 with no reserve! U-21 riders made no difference to top 3!
  15. I don't think GB were the best side on the day, but they won within the rules so are Champs!
  16. Just watching the stream now, gotta say Nicol was very unlucky in heat 12 when the race was stopped! Never moved before the tapes, just made a perfect start!
  17. The advantage of putting a rider off 15m is that the fans get more racing! Every time a race is awarded after a rider falls & stays down (on purpose) the fans get short changed!
  18. When everyone can get a r/r ride it matters less the position it is in!
  19. If I was team manager, if pick the following riding order(s) for tonight: 1) Michael P Toft 2) Craig Cook 3) Scott Nicholls 4) Chris Harris 5) U Ostergaard r/r 6) Bjarne Pedersen 7) Jordan Palin 1) Dan Bewley 2) Charles Wright 3) Steve Worrall 4) Richie Worrall 5) B Kurtz r/r 6) Jye Etheridge 7) Tom Brennan
  20. I think Poole are weaker & Leicester stronger with their guest choices! So I'll predict Ple 49-41 Lei!
  21. If the Cup final is known, Poole can organise their home leg for Wednesday! If only the play-off match was raced Poole would have another blank Wednesday! But as it turns out both matches are being raced this weekend anyway!
  22. If Fridays match was play-offs rather than KOC, that would hold up things further! If the Cup semi is concluded, Poole & Glasgow / Edinburgh can organise the final! If the play-offs are raced Poole & Glasgow / Edinburgh have to wait even longer to arrange fixtures!
  23. If there was going to be a concern about Glasgow not wanting to race without Brennan, why not arrange the remaining NDL fixture for Friday?
  24. Think this tie is near from over (is that the opposite of far from over) Edinburgh can lose by 10 & still qualify!
  25. I heard (unoficailly) that Edinburgh had turned down a date to race the KOC tie at Glasgow, if true they can't then demand Glasgow turn up if the weegies don't agree to the date!
