  1. Not sure I understand that comment, if it's the top 15 riders in the world, someone has to finish last. Doesn't mean that rider isn't world class!
  2. Disaster for Kent with Alcock injured at Scunthorpe. Alcock was averaging over 8.5, but they'll only be able to use r/r (Halder & reserves) to cover him! Get well soon Joe!
  3. Pre-season I would have said Jenkins had promise & isn't a bad number 8, but so far this season averaging 2.57 (3.43) for Redcar, so an odd choice for me!
  4. Can't see anything other than a Leicester aggregate win
  5. The 3 home & 3 away rule is only used for assessed averages (Basso), riders with rolling aves would get a new ave even if they only rode 1 match.
  6. Five wins from 6 meetings, surprised you aren't impressed with Sheffield so far!
  7. That may be the best idea, adding the scores to teams total. Means there's a reason for the RS being in attendance, there in case of injuries to top 2, but also get 3 races, so not travelling for just one ride!
  8. Can't see Monarchs having much of a chance of making the top 6 tbh. Once Sarjeant goes into the top 5, whilst using r/r Fredriksen & Hook would need to take 11 rides between them!
  9. Totally agree with you, any rider who comes in to replace an injured rider, could have been picked in the first place, so no advantage gained.
  10. If 4-3-2-0 is used for pairs events to encourage team riding, why is it not also used in league matches? Teams ride as pairs in that too!
  11. Last year they changed the guest rules, so you had to use an unattached rider, but that was abandoned after one season & are allowing guests again.
  12. Should that not be weather forecast permitting?
  13. It's a bit of an odd choice as Jenkins certainly hasn't been scoring well for Redcar do far this season, averaging 2.57 (3.43).
  14. If you draw lots, they could come out in Alphabetical order
  15. I was wondering the same thing, have any matches been raced yet?
  16. I can't say that should make a difference. Ostergaard has the 2nd highest average in the team so could easily be the number 5 rider, Basso can wins heats in the Prem so should be able to handle number 3 and number 4 was easier than number 2 with Ben Cook scoring 0. I think Glasgow are very strong & should be good enough to beat any team (Poole included) at home. They just needed to stops Poole's lower order from scoring so many (easier said than done) as Poole's top 3 are the best on the league.
  17. As Poole are the best team in the league by far, you have no worries about being beaten at home this year now surely?
  18. Not sure why that would be the case? Riders race for different teams in different countries, so a change in riding order shouldn't affect them much!
  19. If a referee has lots of re-starts fans complain he's trying to be the star of the show, no restarts & he has somewhere to be, sounds like refs can't win lol!
  20. Surely clubs can swap fixtures if they both agree to it?
  21. Not sure it's wise Rowe leaving Leicester. If he doesn't perform in Poland, won't get much racing if only at Ipswich (till they realise Hume is better)?
  22. Weren't Glasgow also missing Brennan & Basso for their last home meeting? They seen to race when they have riders missing, but have blank Fridays either side of these fixtures! 6th May - Brennan & Basso missing 13th May - no fixture 20th May - Brennan missing 27th May - no fixture
  23. At the moment you can use a guest at home with +5% added to their ave and a guest away up to their ave. Simple change would be at home use missing riders ave, away use missing riders ave -5%? It's easier to strengthen up away using "horses for courses". I have no issues with guests, but feel the biggest issue is team being stronger using guests!
