  1. Only if other countries did the same. If Poland can have 3 x Polish wildcards, only fair for GB to get one.
  2. This round isn't being raced at King's Lynn
  3. No doubt, just think it's best for the TM to rest him, make sure he's gonna be fit for the rest of the season, especially play-offs.
  4. Surprised Masters is in this meeting, seems the obvious time to rest him, with Wolves having a strong top 4!
  5. I thought that too! If MPT & Andersen are injured, should it not be Harris & Ostergaard?
  6. He's still in their declared team, but they can use Hume every week & don't really need to replace him.
  7. Yet Peterborough picked Jenkins when Edwards was available!
  8. In 2003 the Elite & Premier sides all raced in the "regional mini-league" competition. Can't remember it's name off the top of my head though!
  9. Official the declaration has Rowe as RS & Hume as No 8. While a new number 8 may never get a ride, if Hume got injured in the play-off final, imagine having to debut Clouting it Beebee in the second leg at Belle Vue? Could be the difference between Witches winning the league or not!
  10. I disagree, if Hume missed a match & Beebee had to ride could cost Ipswich badly! He's only a NL second string & there's far stronger options out there!
  11. "So what?" My thoughts exactly - if you want to use the speedway star aves go ahead! You never claimed they were the official averages. Also they will be more accurate as they include more matches (cup etc)
  12. That's far to sensible a solution for them to use that lol!
  13. Gotta side with Mulford over how he was treated when organising flights / vans to race in a match, then getting dropped for Edwards at short notice! Plenty of options available if they need a new number 8: Bowtell, Clegg, Shanes, Bickley?
  14. I don't think they should be allowed to change the riding order once declared. There's no need & just messes up everyone's programmes.
  15. Hardly "second season syndrome" he's had a fantastic year & having one disappointing match doesn't change that
  16. If that's the case all guest appearances should count for averages & not just unnattached riders.
  17. Not sure that's a good idea. Let's say an unattached rider is likely to get a 3.5 ave, then after riding a 4th match, he'll no longer be able to guest for an injured 3.00 rider (or replace them) so may have to sit out the rest of the season, while a 2.75 rider can continue to guest! Wouldn't affect someone like Jody Scott so much as I'm sure half the clubs in the league would sign him up before his average shoots up!
  18. Yes, if the team manager was more aware / ruthless, Berwick could have come away with a draw!
  19. Clearly they didn't think it through when planning the rule change! Also compare a rider like Joe Thompson's last 10 matches in the team vs reserve. The difference could be anywhere between 3.00-6.00!
  20. That's very unlikely, even when Leicester had easy matches at home to Birmingham & away to Newcastle, they still put out their strongest possible side ahead of giving some Lion Cubs Championship experience!
  21. There is a big difference between racing at number 6 compared to number 7. If every Champ side had to put their weakest rider at 7 (like Prem teams have to) then he'd at least get another heat against the opposition number 7. Signing a 2.00 rider at number 6, like Coles, means the most you can expect from them is 1 or 2 points imo
  22. When I saw Bickley was at number 6 I expected him to score a point in heat 2, have 2 x last places against the 1+2, 3+4 pairings, then get dropped from his last race. So having had time to think about it, I would only have signed Bickley to ride at number 7. If Jenkins was going to remain at number 7, Roynon should have stayed in the team.
  23. Pickering's 2021 ave 7.38 (8.31) Pickering's 2022 ave 7.37 (7.89)
  24. Scunthorpe have had plenty of blank Fridays, so don't know what the 2nd leg hasn't been raced yet. Perhaps Scunthorpe know they will get knocked out by Leicester & won't make the play-offs, so are wanting to hold this meeting later on to make their season last longer? I can just picture it now though, lots of blank days during the season & finals still raced at the end of October!
