  1. Not if there's more than one rider out, in that situation clubs can choose who to use r/r for
  2. If true Jenkins should have just said NO, no matter how much the promotion tried to persuade him to ride!
  3. It's not really a mockery, Belle Vue only have a strong option to replace Brennan as he's been riding so well!
  4. I guess that could be true, although I was thinking at the time they still had a chance of a league point?
  5. One thing I can't understand from the evening match was to replace Etheridge with Blodorn in heat 12, what on earth was that about? Etheridge had only beaten Kemp, but Blodorn hadn't beaten any Wolves riders, Etheridge also finished ahead of Blodorn in heat 14 to further prove my point! Wouldn't have affected the score probably, but can't understand the reasoning regardless of the score!
  6. Any U-21 rider can ride at reserve in the 3rd tier in Poland, so it makes sense to race at that level as Brennan should get plenty matches - move up a level & he may not get a ride.
  7. Still don't understand why some think the track reserve should not be strong enough to beat any rider, seems almost pointless having them in that situation! In this case King still would've been in the semi on 11 points.
  8. I doubt the BSPL insist on midweek meetings, more likely Belle Vue & Poole preferred to race on their normal race night!
  9. I would say the opposite is true, let's say Sam Masters races, but pulls out because of his shoulder injury. Anyone who races against a track reserve from the NL, will get an easier heat than others (who've already raced Masters), so this would impact the result! If Ben or Zach Cook replace Masters, the advantage riders get by avoiding Masters is lessened so wouldn't affect the result so much!
  10. Not sure the point you're making? But I'd have no issue with him qualifying for the GP challenge if he finished high enough!
  11. Why not? If you can't beat 5-6.00 Champ riders, you can't expect to win the riders championship!
  12. I don't agree with suggestions that the away team should be awarded 4 points in situations like these. While it wouldn't have mattered last night, that could be the difference between a team qualifying for the play-offs or not. Surely you'd want that to be decided on the track! If a home club was at fault & a penalty merited, I'd suggest home team losing a point. Costs them but doesn't mess up other clubs in the league!
  13. According to the refs interview, issues were raised with the track & the home promotion made attempts to fix it, unsuccessfully as it turns out. Some of these replies sound like the promotion did nothing & ref only inspected the track for the first time at 18:55!
  14. Problem with that, is eventually teams may run out of dates & have to race when the forecast is worse than the original staging!
  15. I don't necessarily agree with that, as a forecast may be for horrendous storms for days beforehand as well as the raceday on every site. The problem here was calling it off early based on slightly iffy forecasts on some sites!
  16. Which is exactly the reason not to call it off so early - forecasts can change!
  17. Most important thing for Championship promoters is to get a big crowd. Poole on a Wednesday may well get a bigger crowd than say Sheffield on a Sunday?
  18. I know Championship clubs can't race on a Monday, but am not aware of NL clubs not being able to. Surely if Dan & Joe aren't in the teams they wouldn't have to be at the meetings?
  19. Was not aware 27th wasn't available. Mon 29th KOCF vs Mildenhall?
  20. The comment was "it's the last match of the season at Oxford tonight" it may be HIS last match but it's not THE last match. Oxford fans still have plenty of Speedway to watch!
  21. That makes no sense, why use a previous month's averages for the Pairs?
  22. While the Championship scoring isn't as confusing at the Premiership's For example: Home win = 3. draw 3, 2 or 1. defeat = 0. Away win = 4 or 3. draw 3, 2 or 1. defeat = 1 or 0. 2 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss and a bonus point is a lot simpler.
