  1. Not sure what Atkins gained giving up a Champ spot (because he got dropped from a race once) for a team that didn't give him a chance in the Champ? While Atkins has scored well in the NL, he was given zero chances in the Champ by Oxford when MacDonald was out injured, they apparently preferred Killeen (who didn't beat an opponent at Champ level) based on ONE good score against a VERY WEAK Plymouth side.
  2. Andersen replaced Lawson, they were never both in the Plymouth team plan
  3. Happens every year because clubs rush to race league fixtures to try & make the play-offs. Look how long it took the re-arrange the Scunthorpe vs Leicester cup tie or arrange the King's Lynn vs Sheffield League cup tie. If clubs really wanted to, they could spread out the finals better!
  4. That would not be possible, Leicester & Belle Vue wouldn't be racing NL play-off matches till their Championship / Premiership campaigns were completed. I'm not saying it's right but NL always gets pushed to the bottom of the pile!
  5. He'll have a near 12.00 ave by then!
  6. Very much doubt that would happen. Plymouth vs Glasgow was called off for the play-offs (now rained off) and Leicester vs Berwick (NL) was called off for the KOC. I can't see Armadale vs Belle Vue happening till Edinburgh's play-off campaign is over!
  7. I've never understood that comment, Harris has a high ave because he's a good rider! Plus one of the most exciting riders in British Speedway
  8. Hardly "delaying tactics" they already had the match scheduled! If it was a free week but they chose to race Glasgow after the play-offs were decided, then that would be different
  9. So it's acceptable for Scunthorpe to delay the KOC by THREE months, but not acceptable for Plymouth to delay the play-offs by SEVEN days?
  10. Most sensible fixture options should now be: Tues 13th Plymouth (A) P/0 Wed 14th Leicester (H) KOC Probably be a bit of a wait for the second leg as Leicester have a couple of NL matches on the next 2 Saturday's
  11. You're talking a lot of sense there! For some reason when riders say they need x-amount of money to buy the best equipment, promoters just pay it (despite it not improving the product). Rather than saying "as only so many fans turn up to matches I can only pay you this amount" I've never understood why promoters pay out more than what comes in? If that means Championship riders have to treat it as a hobby, while working a "real" job like they did in the 80's so be it!
  12. Think a few people owe you an apology for doubting your belief in the Panthers lol!
  13. I'll back Scunthorpe to win this one, but not on aggregate!
  14. If Poole end up struggling to fit in fixtures before the end of October, blame Scunthorpe / Leicester. KOC QF postponed in May, not re-arranged until September! Why should Plymouth & Glasgow have to re-arrange a fixture when other clubs seem happy to cause a potential fixture pile-up?
  15. Glasgow fans may have booked time off work, hotels etc. Albeit likely not many. No reason to move the fixture as there's still plenty of time to race to remaining fixtures.
  16. Because Plymouth are racing Glasgow in a league fixture
  17. But this situation was known before the season started, if there were no rain-offs everyone's season would finish at the start of August (bar KOC & PO matches). Clubs had months available to plan extra fixtures if needed (Ashfield Classic, NL Challenges against Armadale & Berwick)
  18. Because riding against Blodorn is easier than riding against Brennan (or Etheridge)
  19. Poole Speedway don't produce the averages for the league, if a mistake has been made - not Poole's fault!
  20. Don't need to split up a partnership that works well, could ride together at 1&2 or 3&4
  21. I don't think you can blame the track as I saw no other incidents in the same area!
