  1. Mountain beat Masters, Thomsen, Castagna, Fredriksen (x2), Hook & Sarjeant. Only lost to Pickering. Clegg beat Castagna, Fredriksen, Hook (x3), Sarjeant (x2). Lost to Pickering, Thomsen & Hook. No contest between the two of them for man of the match imo!
  2. I don't like play-offs & think table toppers should be crowned champions. However the team that wins the play-offs technically "deserves" to be Champions!
  3. Don't see Edinburgh having much if a chance against Leicester, but they do seem to be able to pull out good performances from time to time. After Poole's performance at Leicester on Saturday, I think they are now favourites for the league.
  4. Perhaps Edinburgh's final match should be a NDL meeting, would probably still get a big crowd to say farewell to Armadale & hopefully out something in the kitty for when (I hope) land becomes available for a new track?
  5. Same thing happened last year (but not to the same degree) Poole left waiting for the Leicester / Scunthorpe quarter final, which was delayed. As soon as they announced 6 clubs qualify for the play-offs I could see issues arising, if a QF match is postponed the top 2 clubs will have to wait longer to race. However Glasgow could have filled the gaps by 1) beating an Edinburgh team missing Masters & Pickering in the KOC or 2) racing the Summer / Jubilee trophy at Leicester (I believe they didn't want to race, missing certain riders) or 3) putting on an Ashfield Classic / NL strength challenge fixture to keep the fans coming?
  6. Tbh I don't think Glasgow have a stronger heat leader trio than Poole. But either way there's not much between them.
  7. Don't know how clubs can stop riders getting injured, especially as most ride for more than one team and / or abroad!
  8. Do the remaining NDL matches not count as competitive meetings? Mind you given the strength of the Armadale team, probably not (sadly)
  9. I assume he goes back to his 2021 ave, that's what happened to Kennett & Newman when Eastbourne's fixtures were removed.
  10. Indeed, if Summers beats every rider except Masters & Pickering - he'd end up with 9 from 5 rides.
  11. I doubt it tbh. But will be interesting to see if the guest rules are updated. Last year Poole had a long wait for their play-off QF as Leicester & Scunthorpe had rain offs & were not in a rush, so waited a week to re-arrange their fixtures. This year the exact same thing has happened to Glasgow / Leicester. The BSPL had the opportunity to try and avoid these fixture issues, but did nothing!
  12. There is no rule that requires teams to make a replacement. The guest rule at times encourages teams not to find new riders! Don't blame Plymouth for following the rules. Blame the rules.
  13. Don't think there's a panic, just a desire to see finals raced in the summer in good weather with good crowds. Compared to the more likely league / cup / trophy finals all being raced at the end of October.
  14. I disagree, Joe Thompson has been far more inconsistent this year, but Leicester still topped the table! Even Nick Morris has averaged below 8 & above 10 in the same season!
  15. I don't think Birmingham should have been allowed to use a guest after Vissing's 28 day ban was over. Leicester had to replace Rowe, they couldn't just say after his 28 day ban, "he's witholding his services again"
  16. Kemp is in line to finish with his highest ever Champ average, has moved into the top 5 & kept Zach Cook below him - that's progress
  17. Gotta say I think Plymouth have got their riding order correct, it's hard on Morley (at 3) but sacrificing heat 12 to be strong in heats 8 & 14 makes sense. Especially as their aim is to keep it as close as possible!
  18. I agree different people have different opinions, which is why I think it was wrong for the BSPL to choose how we should mourn for us, by cancelling fixtures. Could make a big difference to deciding the NL play-offs, as they're waiting for dates once Champ / Prem matches are finished.
  19. When they had a talk after the site was announced, it very much sounded like all their eggs were in the Livingston basket. When asked about a plan B, the response was along the lines of starting later, not another area of land to use.
  20. My dad passed away on a Thursday in 2015, I went to Edinburgh Speedway on the Friday as a tribute to him. He was a massive Speedway fan & I know he'd far rather I went to the match than stay at home. Obviously I was mourning at the time, but that didn't mean I couldn't celebrate his life & what he loved to do at the same time. So I don't understand why Speedway couldn't show respect by having a minutes silence & then celebrating her life instead of cancelling? Anyone who disagreed with running the fixtures didn't have to go to them!
  21. I don't understand cancelling sporting events "to allow people to mourn" but still expect them to go to work as if nothing has happened?
