I don't think that will work, look at Connor Mountain, too old of RS berth not strong enough for another team place. I know he was blocked on age not ability, but it could happen to the strongest RS candidate, every team would want him as an RS, perhaps no-one would pick him in the top 5?

There's no logic to that ruling that I can think of! -

Those were my thoughts too, of it was painkillers best to take the test, by refusing he can't prove what it was or wasn't. Can't see how it can be anything other than a 2 year ban? -
Scunthorpe vs Redcar KOC Semi Final 14/15 July
szkocjasid replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Next Friday both clubs are available is 8th September! Do Scunthorpe have an alternative race night? -
The simple answer is Plymouth or Belle Vue fans don't have to buy the other stream. Fans wanting to attend in person don't have a choice! Well actually they do, either pay £32 or don't come.
-
I can't understand why people streaming get a "deal" for buying both matches, but fans attending in person don't?

Imagine how Todd Wiltshire felt before Oxford returned, all the clubs he had ridden for half closed down - Wimbledon, Reading, Bradford & Oxford!
-
They were strong in the National League, but have always been a bottom half team since joining the Champ.

Poole v Berwick 12/7/23 CL

Surely if he was assessing a probationary referee, he'd have to have the same viewpoint of any decisions made? It would be pointless saying he made a wrong call if watching from the first bend! -
Sign someone when there are 5 league meetings left so they don't get a new average? Transfer cut-off date permitting.

Morris is 4th in the averages so would have to use r/r -

Couldn't have put it any better myself. It seems many promotions Habe the attitude of "turn up or you'll lose it" rather than providing an exciting product, offering value for money & budgeting expenses based on crowd levels! -

Douglas (9.29) & Harris (9.28) both just above the home bonus unfortunately for Birmingham. Charles Wright would be a good guest for next week. -

You'd think it would work better the other way around, the SCB will never get that fine as even if Bird wanted to return, he wouldn't pay a fine now & hope in two years he's still keen. If it was ban first then pay fine, there's a bigger chance Bird (or any rider) might fancy giving it another go? -
Oxford vs Edinburgh - Champ - 12/6
szkocjasid replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You don't see much team riding these days, so it's even more special when it happens now. -
While not an Edinburgh fan, I cannot stand Glasgow, so favour the Monarchs of the Scottish teams. Kinda got a soft spot for the Brummies, think Tolley is trying so hard to make a success of it, just hope he doesn't keep losing money. I guess it's easy to root for the underdogs & it's a while since Birmingham have been anything else!
-
Credit to Oxford for that attitude, just feel it could cost them the league title!

Would love to see Peterborough pick up a victory, but can't see it happening -
Ipswich v Belle Vue 13th July
szkocjasid replied to Gavan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Obviously it's a must win for Ipswich, even then I don't think they've got much of a chance of breaking into the top 4 -
Appreciate the response @Sings4Speedway used to support Rye House, then Arena-Essex & London Lions, then Rye came back so Lakeside became my second team. Currently a neutral but hope to have a team to support again next year!
-
Why does it even matter who I support, it's a forum I'm allowed to share my opinion!

Gotta say Birmingham should be strengthened without Morris 9.26 available for guests at home & 8.82 away, which is far higher than his 2023 scoring.
-
Poole have to visit Berwick, Edinburgh & Birmingham, so 3 wins for Poole would cancel each other out (Plymouth too far back for it to help them imo). Whilst Oxford have to visit Edinburgh, where I'd expect an away win. They are the two team I most expect to win away.
-
I more mean the home loss, as long as Berwick can win at home they are safe, wether they can do that, we'll see? I can't see any of the bottom four clubs picking up points away, so least dropped home points = play-offs!
