  1. That last part wouldn't work, as many 2.09 riders who improve their averages from 3 to 4 will be dropped for the next batch of 2.00 riders. I'd certainly be happy with the number 7 having to be the lowest averaged rider & not being allowed to get dropped in heat 8.
  2. Think Workington are favourites for the double, Complin, Pijper & Crang are all former Berwick riders, so should go well. Really rate this Workington side, partly because Harrison was at reserve, but they did well enough without him at home.
  3. Poole (strengthened by r/r) to go through. Should be very close but can't see Redcar winning by 6+
  4. Are you referring to the Fours? Didn't he release Jack Holder to race in Poland for a fee? I'm kinda impressed tbh, these days Poland would just take the rider & GB has chosen to give up their priority on certain race nights.
  5. Mulford isn't actually in his first season, first full season - yes. I wouldn't be looking at any replacements as I don't believe there's any better unnattatched 2.00 riders out there. So I'm sure he'll get plenty of time.
  6. I wouldn't say Mountain belongs at reserve, he's been a solid second string for a few years now, only dropped to reserve because of team changes, not poor form.
  7. If true, that's a big mistake by Drew imo
  8. What @arnieg said, after their exploits with Leicester in 2022, expected them to carry on in the same vain for Plymouth
  9. I had Redcar top, so happy with that. Then Plymouth, Glasgow, Poole, Scunthorpe & Edinburgh in the top 6. Glasgow & Poole doing what I expected as top 6 teams. Scunthorpe started like I expected, but since their changes doing far worse than I predicted! Plymouth doing far worse than I expected, top 2 not showing their Leicester form. Edinburgh also not doing quite as well as I thought. Of my predicted bottom 3, Oxford have impressed me, getting more points from their bottom 4. Berwick doing as expected (apart from unexpectedly winning at Edinburgh), while Birmingham probably doing worse than I expected & I predicted them for bottom lol!
  10. Where does he say that? I've not spotted it
  11. I'm 99.999% certain all draws, wether in the night or on aggregate lead to a superheat. They got rid of KO Cup replays a few years back due to too many fixtures, there's no reason for that these days though! (Yes I know this isn't a cup match)
  12. I for one was planning to go, the only thing that stopped me was the admission price
  13. When you read about Birmingham getting 200/300 then yes 1,200 for two teams in poor form seems fab!
  14. It looks like Paco rode well, still surprised they picked a 5 point rider over 6.5 & 8.5 point riders though!
  15. Nothing against Paco, but there must have been better options, just a quick look at his own club, Craig Cook or Kye Thomson would've been better!
  16. Things change in Speedway, Edinburgh previously blocked Glasgow riding on Fridays, but eventually they were overruled. As for Redcar, hardly anyone races on Saturday's so there's no-one to complain.
  17. I wouldn't have thought what they did was allowed? I was under the impression if a reserve doesn't "qualify" for heat 15 he can't go in it, even after a tape touch? Also find it very strange that Trigger got a 4th ride & Coles was used in heat 15. Almost seems like a slap in the face (by both clubs) of any fans who paid good money for a "nothing" meeting!
  18. In hindsight yes, but based on his previous Championship form, there was nothing to suggest Kinsley was a sensible decision. I understand why they made the double change, but signing a 4 point rider on a 5 point average was not the right thing to do, Kemp or Dan T would've been my picks ahead of Clegg. On current form Scunthorpe should certainly sign Kinsley to replace Ablitt in 28 days if he's not kept on by Oxford.
  19. Birmingham only had 4.13 available for a guest, that leaves only Nathan Ablitt or Ace Pijper from the Champ who could replace him. EDIT: unless their facility ran out on Thurs & Mountain could have guested? I see no reason why Birmingham didn't (try to) sign Kemp or Dan T though?
  20. Lets say Redcar decide to plan without Riss & also drop Mulford to go with strength in depth? 10.75 available to replace Riss & Mulford, could sign 2 of: Dillon Ruml (5.47) Drew Kemp (5.20) Dan Thompson (5.09) Would obviously be weaker at the top without a 3rd heat leader, but stronger at the bottom with Bailey & Edwards at reserve.
  21. Possible Prem replacements for Riss: Hans Andersen (7.79) or Keynan Rew (5.00). Other than that Troy Batchelor (7.29) or Tero Aarnio (7.55). Think they are stronger with guests tbh
