Last year it was a 20 match rolling ave, this year down to 10 matches. Not sure why they changed it tbh!

So it seems the Premiership Junior League has been forgotten about. The Southern section only completed 2 out of the scheduled 6 matches & no final has been raced. It's a pretty poor effort when you consider clubs only had to host TWO six heat junior matches this season but half the teams couldn't even do that!

Neutral final at Oxford? Probably the only track in the country that would get a food crowd when their own team isn't racing. Plus not too far for Poole & Leicester fans to travel to!

They could very easily have spilt the 3 tied teams, most wins or results from when the 3 teams net each other, heck even race times. Anything would be better than drawing lots. Even going straight to the final is better than drawing lots. While a run-off would've been fairest & best for the fans, I'm not sure you should change the rules for a competition after it has started (even though it feels like it happens a lot). So the real question is, were sensible, clear & concise rules already in place & if not why weren't the rules challenged before the competition even started rather than during the 5th round?

I'd disagree with that, it would make the product weaker but not necessarily worse. Take a heat 4, Lawson & Ablitt vs Pickering & Hook, you'll likely get 2 riders miles behind the others. I'm not suggesting a 38 point limit is the way to go, but if every team was the strength of Birmingham & Newcastle i.e Auty & Pearson vs Starke & Complin the racing should be closer!

I disagree, to get closer racing you want the gap from the top riders & bottom riders to be closer together.

Jakobsen will use his 2018 5.04 ave in 2023 because he didn't race enough matches this year to get a new ave, there is no alternative. If last night's match had counted towards the rolling aves (as it should have done) he'd have raced his 6th match & have a 7+ ave for 2023. So it seems Lynn calling off a match very early for forecasted weather that never came, will help them greatly in putting out a stronger team for 2023!

You'd expect Leicester & Poole to have wanted as many of their riders racing as possible in this match. Leicester riders to help the crowd & Poole riders to get track time before play-off / jubilee league finals! So I'm surprised Nick Morris isn't in the Wolves pairing. But all the others, who could be there are there.
