It will be useful to see the final averages published, as Starke would have a far higher ave if the Newcastle matches are removed!
-
Jorgensen would come in on a 9.53 converted Prem ave now!
-
Certainly got fab reserves!
-
Still waiting for the final averages to be published. But should also affect Starke, James Wright & Clegg who didn't ride 10 league matches after leaving Newcastle. Also puts Wethers back on his 6+ season starting average
-
Struggling to come up with ideas for Peterborough signings tbh!
-
I agree with your comments & clearly don't expect to see half of those riders in the UK. But GP rider Lambert didn't get his average re-assesed. Neither did Jakobsen, who will use his 2018 ave in 2023 (despite riding the required 6 league matches this year)!
-
I believe Flint's Champ ave would stop him remaining as a RS. Not that the rules are clear to understand!
-
As Lawson's ave shot up in his last couple of matches I wouldn't be keen on him (unless teams can't find other riders to reach the points limit).
-
Until riders are announced, I'll keep putting them in any team predictions. I've also heard the RS is gonna be scrapped (agree is a daft idea) but all I can do till new rules are announced is go with current ones!
-
You're right, I looked at the wrong average, dropping Hume seems like an even worse decision now!
-
If Newcastle's matches are removed from averages, Complin will be back on an assessed 4.00 ave.

Peterborough Brady Kurtz 8.24 Chris Harris 7.40 Michael P Toft 6.86 Ryan Douglas 6.31 Scott Nicholls 5.15 Hans Andersen 4.93 Jordan Jenkins RS Total 38.89

2022 team building rules (till they announce new ones) Wolverhampton Sam Masters 8.00 Luke Becker 7.11 Tai Woffinden 6.85 Nick Morris 6.48 Ryan Douglas 6.31 Ben Cook 4.06 Drew Kemp RS Total 38.81

Especially as Bailey's home ave is almost 2 points higher than his starting ave (4.40) while his away is less than 1 point lower!
-
Proctor probably won't improve as a rider. But could improve his average by virtue of riding at reserve. I'd say a 4.00 rider who will keep that average is more valuable to the team than Ace who may up his average from 2.00 - 2.50. If they can build a strong top end that needs a 2.00 rider then Stoneman or Pijper are obvious candidates. However some people think Harris is leaving which would probably mean Berwick building a strength in depth team!
-
Is it worth a rider having a high away average though? Bailey has a 6.31 / 3.53 split. Hume was 5.39 / 5.73. So if Bailey has a higher away ave would he not also be dropped like Hume was?
-
Coles would be on a 2.00 ave. He would be the best option along with Mulford or Stoneman imo. Riders like Scott or Hodder would be more useful if being signed up as an asset, but I would say it's too early for Championship racing in 2023.
-
Also need the points limit announced. Once I know the team building plans makes picking teams more fun (for me).
-
I agree it's all about opinions, I just feel how can someone say no to rider A, if there's not a stronger rider B available?
-
Would leave Berwick a bit below the limit, Jake Allen on 6.30 would be the highest averaged rider who fits.
-
If money wasn't an issue (2022 rules used) Belle Vue Dan Bewley 8.91 Robert Lambert 7.61 Tai Woffinden 6.85 Mikkel Michelsen 5.67 Anders Thomsen 5.53 Tom Brennan 4.40 Connor Bailey RS Total 38.97
-
Got a better option on 4.1 on lower?
-
If it's a 40.00 limit? Berwick Chris Harris 8.76 Leon Flint 7.00 Jye Etheridge 5.71 Jonas Knudsen 5.00 Jesper Knudsen 5.00 Theo Pijper 4.43 Ty Proctor 4.00
-
Nope, it appears if you drop him from one ride he'll quit the team?
-
Using this year's team building rules: King's Lynn Nicolai Klindt 7.68 Richard Lawson 7.71 Michael P Toft 6.86 Josh Pickering 6.14 Troy Batchelor 5.57 Frederik Jakobsen 5.04 Jack Thomas RS Jason Edwards RS Total 39.00
