  1. Who made that decision? You'd think it would benefit both clubs to race it at Scunthorpe? Scunthorpe fans may turn up in greater numbers for one more chance to see Speedway at home before the winter break!
  2. It's poor planning of end of season meetings, that should have been run earlier in the season. With so few league matches, there's no reason why clubs can't fit in BSN / KOC meetings earlier in the season. I don't remember that many rain-offs. Biggest problem is probably 4 Friday teams, who prefer not to race on their off race night. People still ask for 2H & 2A, but clubs can barely manage 1H & 1A.
  3. I agree under the current rules a rider racing 2 home & 4 away will gain an average. But I don't remember them ever changing a legitimate average, once rules have been changed in later seasons. Not including re-assessed averages. Heck I even remember 20 years ago Ipswich having to sign Protasiewicz on an average that included bonus points, when no one else's average included them after a rule change.
  4. I'm sure Lambert will get a wildcard, Doyle probably less likely if he's the 4th best Aussie. I'm not saying it's right, but nationality makes a difference to who gets a pick.
  5. I know it's not likely, but I kind of want the following to happen to show the flaw in the scoring system to the organisers (so they fix it). What if Zmarzlik & Kurtz meet in LCQ1. Kurtz is 2nd which means 11 or 12 points, Zmarzlik is 3rd (9 or 10 points) or 4th (7 or 8 points). The world title would then be decided in LCQ2, the finishing order of 4 riders who cannot become world champion, would determine wether Zmarzlik or Kurtz wins the title! I challenge anyone to explain why this scenario is the best way to score the GPs.
  6. I don't think it works that way. Nick Morris was signed on his 2023 rolling average, which consisted of matches from 2022 & 2023. Once he rode a match in 2025, his 2022 meetings were dropped, rolling average only counts last 3 seasons (23,24,25). As they didn't change Morris' last ave, I don't see why they would change Lambert's last ave. He may have an assessed 8.00, but can't see them counting 2 home & 4 away.
  7. As well as comparing Fricke's score to Holder, what about Lindgren. Fricke 11 points = 7 GP points Lindgren 5 points = 6 GP points For the people who like the scoring system, saying it makes the last 3 heats matter, can you explain why Lindgren deserves an extra point when not good enough to make last 3 heats? Or why Lindgren deserves one more point than Kvech (who also scored 5) because he had a better "countback"? Is there any sensible reason why they couldn't both gain 5 points? Huckenbeck & Vaculik 4 each, Lambert & Kubera 3 each?
  8. I don't know why the SCB keep picking on NORA, apart from being bullies? They don't stop riders racing grass track, long track, flat track or in Poland. These events are not on SCB tracks. In fact I'm sure when Charles Wright got injured in Poland a couple of years back he got support from the SRBF, which is contrary to the rules listed above!
  9. It would be ideal if Ipswich met Sheffield in the play-offs. That way on Thurs 11th when Leicester are home to Belle Vue in the play-offs, Sheffield could race Ipswich in the league. Hope Phil Morris doesn't read that lol!
  10. There'sots of NL/NT fixtures still to be announced. Clubs often leave them till the end of the season. As Sheffield are in the play-offs & Scunthorpe aren't, if agree with eric I, race it at Scunthorpe.
  11. Foord seems to miss lots of development meetings. It does seem some riders take it more seriously than others.
  12. One of the solutions was 6pm starts, had to move this one to 3pm die to medical cover.
  13. One thought on the crash, if Allen had kept his throttle on for the first 2 bends after the close finish, Wright wouldn't have run into him. Occasionally when you see a really close finish & riders shut-off straight away, the challenging rider(s) can find it hard to avoid them. This wouldn't be necessary if a rider is miles in front, but should riders do an extra bend if they know someone's right behind them at the finish?
  14. Interesting that Workington have gotten the aggregate point over both Glasgow & Poole in the league, yet won't make the play-offs. Obviously on their day can put in good performances but not often enough. Of course they'd have been closer without 2 points deducted.
  15. It wasn't that long ago (some) people were wanting him dropped this season. A few poor matches & people on here are (sometimes) quick to want changes made.
  16. Sounds like if you are right, you look forward to saying "I told you so" but surely you'd love to be proved wrong? The more clubs racing the merrier!
  17. I would've moved Pickering to 5 a long while back, certainly scores more at Owlerton than Chris Holder.
  18. I don't see how they could have done that, couldn't use Cairns as a guest for Ritchings, if Ritchings was available right? Potentially could have left Ritchings in for another month, then signed Cairns when they only had 5 league meetings left?
  19. Perhaps FIM Europe view this as a Mickey mouse fixture for Glasgow, win or lose Glasgow will still be in the play-offs, why should Nagel give up individual glory for a "qualifying" league match?
  20. Is it not possible that the riders simply want to do their best in every race they're in? Out of respect for the fans / to increase earnings etc.
  21. I think the Prem has the reserve situation spot on. But don't see why the top averaged rider has to go at number 1. Top two at 1 or 5 would be my preference.
