I had to laugh at this comment though: "By retiring the Armadale Devils moniker, young riders can now fully focus on their development in the sport with the Monarchs. We hope they will dream of reaching the Monarchs Academy team and then graduating into a fully-fledged Monarch thereafter." Are they suggesting young riders weren't fully focussed on their development because the team was called Armadale instead of Edinburgh?

That only works if you build to the points limit, otherwise Batchelor going from 5.9 to 6.0 is better for the team than Cook going from 4.1 to 5.1!
-
Of course he's not going to, he's a 6 point rider, if he was gonna ride above that average on a consistent basis, he'd be a 7 point rider!
-
New reserve guests can certainly make a massive difference in the NL. Look at Luke Harrison for Mildenhall at Berwick, if Mildenhall didn't have an injured reserve they may not have made the final!

So a 5.00 or below rider can ride with an non NL rider or a rider at 3.00 or below can ride with a non NL rider? Is that not the exact same rule? Simply a 5.00 or below rider can ride with a non NL rider? There is no need to add "or a 3.00 or below rider" (as they are 5.00 or below rider)! No wonder the rulebook so so long in speedway lol! -
Watching the Diamonds at Armadale in 2010 & being reminded of how good Bach & Larsen were! Made me remember how many great Danes the Diamonds had over the Years. What would be their strongest Danish 7? 1. Ole Olsen 2. Kenni Larsen 3. Bjarne Pedersen 4. Kenneth Bjerre 5. Nicki Pedersen 6. Rene Bach 7. Jesper Olsen

Not sure I quite understood that. Can a 5.00 NL rider partner with a 3.00 NL rider? -
I see just the top 2 teams will race a play-off final this year. Certainly suits the likes of me who don't think a team finishing 4th deserves to be Champions (neither does 2nd tbh). I believe this was to avoid fixture issues like in previous years with the play-offs taking so late, due to doubling up riders not being available. Makes the title chase more interesting imo as I expect Workington, Oxford & Leicester to comfortably be in the top 3 (of the signed teams), so instead of thinking it was the other clubs fighting for the 4th spot, now one of these teams will miss out! Of course my predictions could be wrong, I expected Belle Vue to walk the league last year!

I'm certainly glad the Prem kept the RS system!

I honestly don't think the Birmingham team is THAT bad, it's just I don't see much improvement likely in the team, while Morris is almost certain to drop his average. As well as Pearson needing to put 1.5 on his 2022 average to reach his 4.00 mark. Hopefully Birmingham will have enough in the tank to win 46-44 at home to keep the fans happy.

Not really Dan's home 5.73 (6.64) vs away 4.37 (5.02) is reasonably close. Compare that to Joe at home 5.62 (6.64) vs away 1.94 (2.71) who did get a team spot. Sadly it's the likes of Kemp & Dan T doing too well that has cost them a team spot.
-
I can see 8 clubs fighting for the 6 play-off spots, unfortunately for Brummies fans, your team is the only one I see as not being in contention!
-
Berwick are the only Champ team racing on a Saturday & no senior teams race on a Sunday, so there should be very few issues with rider availability on weekends.
-
You mention averages for new commonwealth riders, but what about riders who are not new to the Britain, Hook & Pearson for example?
-
I did notice that, certainly hope the weather plays ball & we don't have to run on till the end of October again.
-
I certainly hope KOC & BSN fixtures are raced while there are plenty of spare dates. No excuse for all the finals to be in October again (that wouldn't surprise me lol)
-
Very useful racing in the NL as well or the fixture list would look very empty
-
I'd certainly have used Kemp ahead of Mulford at Belle Vue. While Mulford is promising he's still only a 2.00 Champ rider, compared to Kemp being 5+
-
The problem is what do you do with these riders the following season? I'll use Edinburgh for an example, in 2015 they signed Clegg & Branford on 3.00 aves (lowest available). They both upped to about 3.50. In 2016 each team had to sign a 3.00 rider, so Edinburgh had to drop one of the two riders who had just improved from 3 to 3.5!
-
The problem is Kemp has a higher average than the riders you mentioned. If he had a poorer season (as many think he had) he may have got their team spots!
-
I agree, I don't think Wolves are a bad side. I was replying to your first comment about Zach needing to hit the ground running this year. For me Wolves strength is their solid top 5 & RS
-
He could well be the weakest number 6 in the league (of signed riders) so don't think Wolves can expect much from him. If Cook can reach his 4.00 assessed ave, he'll have done well for me.
-
I'd say Jason Doyle, Jack Holder, Ipswich fans, Sheffield fans, Lublin fans, Krosno fans, Aussie fans, I could go on
-
Not sure I agree with that rule, as most of the Brits who are missing out all have averages above 4.00. I know there has to be a cut off somewhere, but you could get a 4.01 Brit getting dropped for a 3.99 Brit?
-
I'm previous years the Pairs (& fours) have been held as a one-off event, so unless it was held on a Championship track, 3 legs spreads out the home advantage. I probably would've suggested every track host a round, except clubs in the NL, as they already have more fixtures?
