  1. It's really tough to know what to do. I don't think Joe has done anything wrong, he's done his job beating opposition reserves & would be very unlucky to lose his team spot (maybe he can replace either Birmingham reserves). Clegg & a 2.00 rider to me looks weaker than Joe T & 75% of Kennedy's ave. But are they allowed to continue with guests or do they need to sign someone? The next question would be is Clegg & a 2.00 rider stronger than Joe & a 3.00 rider say Jack Smith?
  2. You gave your opinion, so why can't I give mine? So am I not allowed to disagree with people? Is that not what a forum is for, to give your thoughts? If I disagree with a point someone has made, so what if I offer an alternative view to them, they don't have to agree with me, but I am allowed to share my view!
  3. Worrall seems to be doing well at Wolves, I can't understand why his Poole scores haven't been great. No need for Poole to worry though, they've proved they are strong enough even with a number one that is off form!
  4. Atkins walked out on Plymouth, Edwards was replaced by Richard Lawson!
  5. What do you mean Lambert proves year on year he's not good enough? He's a 5 point rider, so rides as second string, has he proved he's not good enough to be a heat leader of course - but that's not what he's been signed for! I assume Scunthorpe & Lambert both feel the number 2 spot suits him, as he's been there for years. Some fans will argue number 2 is harder than number 4 because you start off against 2 number ones. Pre-season Scunthorpe talked up having 4 riders who could be number one (rediculous I know, no-one would get near Douglas) so they obviously felt Mountain is good enough to put points on his average at number 3?
  6. Joe has improved this season & would be unlucky if let go, but sadly Speedway is a numbers game, so if they haven't found a 4.00 rider to replace Kennedy & want to use a 5.00 rider then they have to drop points from somewhere. While 9+1 away from home sounds very good, Joe T only beat Proctor & Pearson at Birmingham (plus Nielsen when he was excluded). His 6 points at Plymouth were achieved by just beating Turner & Trigger. As an away number 7, that's him done his job, so we'll done to him, but it doesn't mean you could expect that score from him every week! In normal circumstances there would be no reason to drop Joe, who's doing his job, the issue Scunny have is not being able to find a suitable replacement for Zaine.
  7. The issue is replacing Zaine Kennedy, dropping Lambert for Kemp doesn't change that!
  8. Bailey has had a pretty awful start to the season for Redcar, so can't see them going for him. If Ipswich want a stronger RS Kemp or Rowe are the obvious choices!
  9. Am I the only person who believes the statement? Surely if it's not true they would get found out? So why risk a lie?
  10. In this case it looked to have strengthened Ipswich with Rew being missing?
  11. Because we love Speedway! Some choose to ignore the daft rules / guests etc for a couple of hours & hope to be entertained watching the most exciting motorsport there is imo.
  12. No one is suggesting Kinsley is stronger than Joe T. I'm pretty sure it's a case of the best option if having to make a double change if they brought it Clegg / Dan T / Kemp for Kennedy!
  13. But there are also weaker sides than Scunthorpe in the league. Perhaps Birmingham can beat them!
  14. I'm fully expecting them to get an extension, but let's see!
  15. You can't blame Speedway teams for not using Auty. In his last 2 (injury hit) seasons he averaged 5.47 in 2021 & 3.76 in 2022. Yet he'd be coming in on an 6.59 average. Could only come into the current Scunthorpe side in place of on of their top 2!
  16. So what if he had one match at Leicester - that still counts towards his average. It's not like if Peterborough won at Leicester, they would remove Worrall's points because he's good at the track - the points count for his team & his average!
  17. 1) Worrall has a 6.11 ave for 2023, this is only slightly below his 14 match rolling ave of 6.25, which suggests he's not doing much worse than in 2022, especially when you consider he's now riding at number 3 after a spell at reserve last year! 2) Klindt (4.67) especially is performing below Worrall, so isn't giving Richie Worrall type of performances each week. Anyway I haven't suggested Lynn sack anyone. 3) Personally I haven't singled out Basso, I know others have, but the stats show Worrall is performing better than him in 2023 - that's a fact. Basso being less experienced doesn't change the fact he's not going as well as last year!
  18. What does an "inflated" average mean to you? I'm talking about Worrall's league performances in 2023, which is 2nd to NKI?
  19. Totally agree with you, RW is 2nd in the 2023 averages behind NKI, problems with the team are elsewhere.
  20. I've not seen KK so can't comment on his attitude when racing & 2.40 away from home is awful for a rider of his ability, however it's home matches that pay the bills, so if he's gonna help you win at home, keep him & hope he improves away.
  21. For me as soon as Pickering got injured Lynn should have signed Craig Cook on a 28 day contract, then when Josh was for again, they'd have 7 riders for 6 places, drop the weakest & that's your new team?
  22. Very early stage of the season but rising star averages for 2023 (league matches) J.Jenkins 4.00 (5) D.Thompson 3.64 (3) D.Gilkes 3.60 (3) L.Flint 3.33 (3) J.Edwards 2.80 (3) J.Thompson 1.54 (4) J.Mulford 1.27 (6) Leicester can have no complaints about Dan imo
  23. That is the most important bit, it's the fans who will declare if it seems VFM, based on how many turn up, not the promotion.
  24. I don't understand why they're charging the full price for a Champ & NL match. There must be savings they can pass onto the fans. Stadium rental, travel expenses for riders in both matches etc, does the referee get double his fee? I know the fans "saving" would be not having to pay petrol twice, but not evey fan would choose to go to both meetings!
