  1. Nothing against Paco, but there must have been better options, just a quick look at his own club, Craig Cook or Kye Thomson would've been better!
  2. Things change in Speedway, Edinburgh previously blocked Glasgow riding on Fridays, but eventually they were overruled. As for Redcar, hardly anyone races on Saturday's so there's no-one to complain.
  3. I wouldn't have thought what they did was allowed? I was under the impression if a reserve doesn't "qualify" for heat 15 he can't go in it, even after a tape touch? Also find it very strange that Trigger got a 4th ride & Coles was used in heat 15. Almost seems like a slap in the face (by both clubs) of any fans who paid good money for a "nothing" meeting!
  4. In hindsight yes, but based on his previous Championship form, there was nothing to suggest Kinsley was a sensible decision. I understand why they made the double change, but signing a 4 point rider on a 5 point average was not the right thing to do, Kemp or Dan T would've been my picks ahead of Clegg. On current form Scunthorpe should certainly sign Kinsley to replace Ablitt in 28 days if he's not kept on by Oxford.
  5. Birmingham only had 4.13 available for a guest, that leaves only Nathan Ablitt or Ace Pijper from the Champ who could replace him. EDIT: unless their facility ran out on Thurs & Mountain could have guested? I see no reason why Birmingham didn't (try to) sign Kemp or Dan T though?
  6. Lets say Redcar decide to plan without Riss & also drop Mulford to go with strength in depth? 10.75 available to replace Riss & Mulford, could sign 2 of: Dillon Ruml (5.47) Drew Kemp (5.20) Dan Thompson (5.09) Would obviously be weaker at the top without a 3rd heat leader, but stronger at the bottom with Bailey & Edwards at reserve.
  7. Possible Prem replacements for Riss: Hans Andersen (7.79) or Keynan Rew (5.00). Other than that Troy Batchelor (7.29) or Tero Aarnio (7.55). Think they are stronger with guests tbh
  8. Don't forget Edinburgh dropped Charles Wright for Marcel Helfer lol!
  9. Brilliant result for Redcar. However looking at their home scores so far, 53 vs Berwick, 49 vs Scunthorpe & 49 vs Birmingham. It's certainly not over on aggregate.
  10. The problem with that is, if a referee allows all four because of riders running out of room on a tight track, you could get 3 or 4 re-runs of multiple heats, especially at a smaller track like Plymouth, then you'd also get riders laying it down for a re-run knowing they won't be excluded!
  11. I don't think it will be easy for Poole, but I'm expecting a big win because they are very very good!
  12. I actually disagree with that, riding for another club in a semi, CAN'T hurt your own team. In previous years riders from play-off teams couldn't guest for other play-off teams despite once again not being able to hurt their own sides chances of winning. In the league or BSN groups, you CAN stop your own team qualifying, which is what's rediculous, should be avoided as much as possible! A very simple option would've been stopping riders guesting for teams in the same group as their own.
  13. With 6 of 9 clubs qualifying, teams sitting in 7th & 8th will most likely be both play-off & wooden spoon contenders!
  14. While I applaud your efforts to improve things, there is one thing I would certainly not go with. Let's say a team is due to use guests & the match is postponed because the track is under water. When it's re-arranged both teams have all 7 riders available, but you'd be forcing them to use guests (who are not needed). Most fans hate guests so I can't imagine home fans would be pleased to see a home man sitting out a fixture he's available for. Plus what would you do if the guest was injured? Can you go back to the team man or have to find another guest lol!
  15. I always used to plan my cycle speedway trips with visits to speedway tracks on the way there / home, rarely do that now due to the more frequent call offs. Speedway has become a home crowd & streaming event, mostly.
  16. Glad the promotion read my comments & agreed with me lol!
  17. Is Kinsley a temporary signing? I thought his average was too high to guest for Killeen EDIT I've just read Kinsley is a temp signing
  18. When does the 28 day facility begin though? Birmingham's first official fixture was 19th April, Is it possible the 28 day facility started then? It would have been pointless for Birmingham to be using a faculty before their season started!
  19. If that's the case what's wrong with it? Lots of people go off work with anxiety, why would a Speedway rider be treated shy differently?
  20. Birmingham got a similar benefit last season, once Vissing left & the 28 day "withholding his services" ban ended, they just carried on with guests & r/r, whereas Leicester had to sign a replacement for Rowe when he left!
  21. Birmingham aren't the strongest side, so Plymouth should still win using r/r imo
  22. Poole certainly haven't ridden against a team with a reserve the strength of Edwards, so will be tougher for Newman & Roynon. Should be two good meetings, but can't see past Poole for an aggregate win.
  23. An Aussie who's come along way to score 1 point in 3 meetings!
  24. 2.41 available to (temporarily) replace Killeen, Kinsley is was 2.13 / 2.08 with reduction. Personally I'd go for Kinsley for 28 days for a few reasons, 1) it would give him more track time to help the NL side 2) if Killeen is fit before the 28 days are up, he can ease himself back in with NL racing 3) Kinsley can't guest for a 2.00 rider, so Oxford would have to look elsewhere for guests 4) allows Kinsley to put himself in the shop window for another club (Scunthorpe) if he rides well, but isn't kept on
