  1. Monmore Green has been around for many many years, do "fans" expect the club to just abandon the stadium because the track is on the small side & riders who have only learnt to go flat out can't ride it?
  2. What a rediculous comment, we need as many tracks as possible & can't afford to lose any.
  3. Pickering can't come back for Thomson as that would put them over the limit, but he could replace Jorgensen or Klindt. I guess both riders know they need to perform for the next month to avoid being dropped. I see no reason why Lynn can't make the play-offs, they haven't lost at home yet, so if they can keep winning that's a start. Then try & pick up a bonus point or two along the way & who knows?
  4. Still very unprofessional of him imo, he can have no complaints about being dropped due to his (away) form, so there'd be no reason for him to get the hump & not turn up for his last night!
  5. Personally I would've kept KK for his home scoring but after he was "ill" on Thursday last week but we'll enough to race in Poland on the Friday I wouldn't want him back.
  6. The only downside of the team changes is losing the advantage they gained of having Jakobsen start on a 5.04 average. Now to get under the 39 limit they're using his 6+ average. Not that I'm suggesting they shouldn't make the change, far from it. But imagine the team if they had started with Laguta when Jakobsen had a 5 point ave!
  7. I would have thought an individual meeting would be perfect for him to try & find his lost form? No worries of letting a team down etc
  8. Rowe, Kemp & Bailey all had stronger Championship averages, so wouldn't say Joe was the "best of the rest". From the interviews after the signing, it sounded like Ipswich didn't try to get Rowe or Kemp, I'm sure the phrase was along the lines of "wanting to try something new for the RS berth".
  9. Pre-season Belle Vue & Ipswich must have known there were better options out there, but instead went for the rising stars they chose. Mulford & Joe T struggling is no shock, but I don't expect changes because they've already chosen not to pick the strongest option available!
  10. I'm not expecting a lot from Kemp (at least the start with) he's not had much racing & going from a harder team position than he's used to (assuming he'll be at 3). However he'll certainly score more than Clegg, so Scunthorpe are stronger & will always have one strong reserve
  11. I've not noticed not a single fan backing the SCB / BSPL over their treatment of the IoW / Nora league. The only comments siding with them are from people involved with clubs. I guess the SCB think they know better than the fans. Does that explain why Speedway is struggling in this country?
  12. Hook had about a 2.5 average last year. If he averages 4.0 he's improved as a rider. Technically the team built to a 38 point limit, so the improvement by Hook & Fredriksen would only bring Edinburgh up to a "legitimate" 40.00 average, putting them on a par with weaker teams, not 40.00 teams that also have riders putting points on their averages.
  13. Surely of any rider thinks it's too wide he just wouldn't ride out by then fence? Which has got me thinking, do the starting grids need to be split into 4 equal sections? Let's say for arguments sake grid 4 was so wide, rides were 10 yards behind at the first bend. Would they be allowed to split the track into 5 sections but only use grids 1-4?
  14. While Proctor hasn't been great, I still think he's better than a 2.00 rider.
  15. I'd counter that with Edinburgh's reserves should be strong at Edinburgh lol!
  16. What would happen if the stadium owners at Kent & Plymouth unhappy with the SCB costing them a couple of matches rent decided to pass on that cost to the Speedway promotion (this year or next)? If the clubs can't afford it & close, I bet the SCB can sleep comfy in their beds knowing they are destroying clubs trying to make ends meet!
  17. Berwick basically signed a 7.5 rider on a 9.5 average. The only way to excuse that would be, 1) there were no 9.5 riders available to lead the team or 2) there were no 7.5 riders available leaving more room at the bottom end?
  18. All TJ has done is carried on his 2021 Championship form (as expected) he's never been a 9+ rider. Any blame should be placed in the promotion for "wasting" 2 points not him imo, however they can remedy that but signing a 4+ rider to replace the injured Stoneman.
  19. Despite seeing Eastbourne (2 teams) & Newcastle (2 teams) pull out mid season in the last couple of years, having uncompleted competitions such as the Premiership Junior League & the Summer Trophy / Jubilee League, the SCB / BSPL are still oblivious to anything being wrong with their organisations so as they can't succeed - try & block others from succeeding apparently?
  20. The only way the SCB can get away with this is when the tracks let them. If Plymouth & Kent had stuck to their guns & carried on in the Norra league, would they SCB been comfortable putting 14 riders out if work? Obviously too much of a risk for their promotions to stand up to the SCB when the alternative is to race 2 meetings a year.
  21. Apart from a few matches I thought Hook was doing much better this season. That being said often his 6 point scores were from beating the opposition's 2.00 number 7 & not much else (still an improvement on last year). But against a stronger number 7, has it shown part of his increased scores are due to his riding position & not so much his improvement?
  22. Don't think Edinburgh can use missing riders as much of an excuse. Worrall scored 13, which is on par with Pickering (actually outscores Josh's early season Armadale form) while r/r for Paco scored 6+1. Obviously they were weakened without Cook & his replacement only scoring 4 points. But that alone shouldn't mean an 18 point home defeat. Kye & Lasse seemed to score ok, so it's really the reserve berth where Monarchs failed the most. Mountain you can understand scoring like he did, but Ablitt having the beating of Edinburgh's reserves is a worry.
