  1. That would be the most pointless plan ever, as the winner gets 20 GP points, wether he's scored 21 or 12 in his heats!
  2. Don't be daft, clubs will vote on what suits them best, nothing else will matter! Look at how long the "rising star" system lasted in the Champ for example!
  3. Bellego dropping his average doesn't stop Sheffield strengthening up. Currently Bellego 5.80 & Sheffield 38.78 (0.22 available) so Sheffield can sign a 6.02 rider to replace him. If Bellego drops to 4.00, Sheffield's team total drops to 36.98 (2.02 available) so Sheffield can sign a 6.02 rider to replace him.
  4. Didn't realise how weak the team looked till I try to decide who rides at number 5! A few comments have been made about Iversen not being a number one, but who could handle the number 5 spot? Heats 13+15 could be a disaster for Peterborough!
  5. No different to Lambert or Woffinden then?
  6. What was rediculous, is after his missed Janowski's pass on the run in to the line. He then didn't bother to check when they showed the replay - again suggesting it was announced wrong!
  7. Have to disagree, the GPs are for the top 15 riders in the world. Unless he is finishing 15th/16th in every round, then he's clearly still at GP standard!
  8. Bit of a strange answer. Was his Dad so ill he couldn't have waited for a couple of hours before heading home? Presumably he felt well enough to travel up for the match? Very odd.
  9. If he was advised to leave by his mechanics, guardians, advisors etc then that would be even worse! Especially from a helper to a young rider! Anyway all speculation till the truth comes out!
  10. I don't want to judge a rider before hearing his version of events, but if what I've read is true, it's the most embarrassing display I've ever heard of from a Speedway rider! Maybe Zmarzlik could complain about having too small a pit bay in the GPs but not Boughen at NL level! I also can't help but wonder who drove him up? At 15 he can't drive, so has he really thrown a strop which means his parents / mechanic has driven him all the way to Workington for nothing? Very keen to hear what the explanation is through official channels from Workington / Leicester / Boughen!
  11. I know they're not likely to win anything, but technically finishing 6th by finishing in front of 3 struggling teams I'd all you need to do to gain an extra 4 matches. Then who knows what can happen!
  12. Not sure I agree with the comments of calling posters "clueless" there can be arguments both ways of wether Workington or Leicester are weakened or not with their changes. A forum would be very boring if everyone agreed on everything - doesn't make someone with a different opinion to you "clueless"
  13. As long as Poole, Glasgow & Redcar also win at Plymouth, Edinburgh & Birmingham, I'm sure Berwick will be ok.
  14. For this reason yesterday's result doesn't really matter for Berwick (apart from pride) with Birmingham, Edinburgh & Plymouth losing multiple times at home, as long as Berwick can win or "draw" at home they'll make the play-offs, don't even need to worry about aggregate points!
  15. I can't imagine any team underestimating Poole ever!
  16. Could've put Mountain at 6 for the harder rides & Ablitt at 7 for more races against similar standard of rider? Especially as a draw is all they need to qualify!
  17. Birmingham scoring 40 points would be a shock, but that's possible
  18. Too true, try to fix one error & end up causing another!
  19. As Kelly is a second string, r/r may be the only option available to them. Pijper gets one ride & 3 for Harrison is good cover. Does mean Harry McGurk needs to take 4 rides though (unless they use a number 8) which I never thought would be a negative before this season!
  20. Just realised how this ruling could fail, Scunthorpe vs Birmingham cancelled - then Pearson swaps teams, but for the re-staging he'd have to swap teams again for one night lol!
  21. I noticed that, must admit it was a surprise to see the club point out the flaw with a team managers decision, well done to them for being honest, makes a change from losing clubs blaming the ref or track conditions. The explanation from LR doesn't make much sense though, makes him sound even dafter to me? If the main aim was to get Sedgmen back out there after his fall, they could have used his r/r ride & they'd still have the option of Morris or Sedgmen for the tac sub later, depending on who was riding better? Masters coasted to victory once again and the Brummies tactical opportunity was wasted with No.1 Nick Morris also now ineligible for a bonus ride. "We were six down after Heat Four, Nick had struggled a bit in his first one, Justin had just crashed out so from me it was a case of 'get back out there'. "Justin is a good mate of his (Masters) and he's beaten him in the past, unfortunately it didn't work out on that occasion.
  22. I know that, but the ruling doesn't state what happens if you've already ridden 4 matches? Does every match he races as a "guest" continue to update his average? "will be given an Established MA after completing 4 meetings, irrespective of being home or away in any official team competition"
