  1. I wouldn't say he guided Belle Vue to the title, more realistic to say he was a part of the team that won the league! But as "some" Berwick fans on here are keen to get rid of him, I don't think he'll solves Witches problems.
  2. My picks for the leading nations i.e the finalists: AUS J.Doyle M.Fricke C.Holder J.Lidsey J.Holder G.B D.Bewley A.Ellis C.Harris T.Woffinden R.Lambert DEN L.Madsen M.Michelsen N.Pedersen A Thomsen POL P.Dudek M.Janowski J.Kolodziej D.Kubera B.Zmarzlik
  3. With Batchelor having his first Premiership match & Lynn with former Lion Howarth & Lambert who can go well here don't think Leicester will hit 60. Lions 55-35 Stars
  4. I was pointing out how unlikely a late play-off push for Ipswich is - it's not easy to post sarcasm
  5. A quick look at today's fixtures & I see a way back into play-off contention. Witches win at Belle Vue, Stars win at Leicester and Panthers win at Wolverhampton - what could be simpler
  6. I don't like finals & think these events should be decided over 20 heats. However I don't "feel" for Rowe, because before the match he knew the rules & understands a 15 point max only guarantees him gate choice in the final. Under the rules Connor Bailey was the deserving winner (I don't like these rules & feel Rowe would have been a deserving winner in a 20 heat match).
  7. I didn't intentionally switch the legs round, only picked those dates because Scunny are at Redcar on the Friday already & didn't know of the stockcar event on the Saturday. I see zero reason whatsoever to suggest Redcar should host the second leg, just do whatever fits in with the fixtures best, there's no advantage either way imo
  8. The comment of the 1-7 staying the same is a strange one, it's obviously meant to be positive comment aimed at the people suggesting Laguta would be leaving, but normally when you have a weak team saying the 1-7 is staying the same isn't something to boast about lol!
  9. Why not go with Pijper, Boughen & Harrison for your bottom 3 next season? Imagine how strong the top for would be!
  10. Neil Middleditch wants to win everywhere, I don't think he'd tell his lads to take it easy. Could be Havvy team managing, if so he'd be wanting to keep up a record of not having being beaten this season.
  11. Which is exactly the sort of rule that need to be "fixed". Although that's not accurate, Barker wasn't guesting for Riss, he was a temp signing, Riss couldn't return to Ipswich till 28 days was up - but can ride for another team! I wonder if he could've guested against Ipswich?
  12. I'd be going Redcar leg on Fri 21st, Scunny leg on Sat 22nd. Get the Cup final raced against Poole before October!
  13. Well in that case, I'll remove any blame I was feeling towards Connor. Can't understand the decision though, when Complin was offered the guest booking he must have known it was because Redcar we're riding that day, so there's always a chance of a postponement & Bailey suddenly becoming available. I feel the "integrity" of the sport i.e using your own riders should trump Complin's guest booking.
  14. That makes it even worse imo. Many fans hate the guest system, I feel it's a necessary evil but gets abused. How can you explain to a newcomer why Workington are allowed a guest for a rider not injured & in attendance?
  15. This is my point exactly, open up more qualifying spots & less seeded places & you'll get more different riders like Kim Nilsson (who 100% deserves his place) in the GPs each year. They may not be one of the best 15 riders in the world, they may not be what the organisers want, but they will be the most deserving - having qualified!
  16. The top 6 qualify for the following season, the top 3 in the GP challenge qualify for the following season, the European champion qualifies for the following season. I am refering to the other 5 or 6 spots where riders are seeded to the following years GP!
  17. Not sure it really matters if they were unlucky with injuries or not, for one you can never prove what will happen, secondly people will only remember the league winners, not a team unlucky with injuries - sadly that just a part of the sport. However Glasgow always put out a strong team & always near the top, many clubs would be far happier with that sort of record.
  18. If the organisers want to see new names each year all they have to do is stop seeding riders & make everyone qualify, of course they can't control who's in the field doing that!
  19. Good points, if you put the top 15 riders in the world in the GP, then more than half of them will fail to make the top 6! Doesn't mean they aren't GP standard, it's simple maths 15 into 6 doesn't fit!
  20. Not sure I understand the logic of blaming Martin for his line! Speedway riders are allowed to ride wide, there is no rule that says you have to ride the inside or your opponents can run into you!
  21. There was a gap, he was entitled to go for it, but needs to avoid knocking his opponent off when attempting it!
