Lots on the Glasgow page are suggesting he'll go there, I'm not sure though, would be be strengthening them? I don't see them dropping Pijper & would they sign him for a 3.61 rider leaving them very inexperienced at reserve? He's most needed at Edinburgh to replace Wood imo
-
I would be very surprised if Boughen wasn't in the NL next year, despite his immense promise he's still got a sub 7 average, plus at 16 (next year will want to be on the bike as much as possible surely?) I wondering who was the last rider to leave the NL behind after only one season, would it be Dan Bewley? Jordan Palin?
-
Even if Bickley scored a maximum, I wouldn't have considered him for the Workington team, they are over the limit, so would take massive surgery to fit him in (unless he replaced Bailey)

I don't think experienced riders racing in the league stops the development of riders at all. The most promising, Boughen / James / Harrison / Killeen will always get team spots. But who is next to step up if older/experienced riders were banned? Now nothing against the following riders who could one day make it but currently the likes of William Richardson, Jacob Fellows, Mark Parker & Kai Ward have shown it's quite a step up even from the junior leagues to the NDL. Would the riders below these guys really be ready for the NL? Plus how much would Boughen, Harrison, Scott, Perry, James etc improve without being able to test themselves against Morley, Complin, Bowtell, Clegg et al. Take Luke Harrison for example if he's managed to be competitive against Dan T, Jenkins, Bailey and the riders I mentioned above - then it's time to test himself in the Championship, like he's doing for Redcar. If he only raced against fellow new starts, how would he know if he's ready to step up?

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to discriminate against age these days, I mean if 50+ year old can still go for apprenticeships, why can't 30+ year olds still develop in Speedway?

I don't imagine Middlo would let any riders dictate to him where they race in the team. I'm pretty sure he'd tell them to "buck up" and race where they are told! -

The obvious time to give Roynon his 3rd ride was heat 9 against the Basso / Vissing pairing imo -
Worth trying something new & hopefully the new Pole will be an improvement on Andersen. I certainly would have put him in the team though. Having Tarasenko at reserve for a couple of home meetings could prove to be a match winner, then when he moves up Wojdylo gets a shot at reserve.

It's very simple, Bewley could have replaced Brennan 4 times & Ellis once. -

But they nominated Bewley for heat 17. Rule must be you can't nominate someone twice? -

I'm not surprised, it's a very tough meeting, which is why Ellis needs all the credit for his 3 points -

Great tactics by GB, joint top, with their top 3 in all the last 7 races! -

Disagree, can't use Bewley every time. They could leave Brennan & Ellis to take the last two races & hope they have a 7 point lead, would that be better lol! -

Because he's the 4th best Brit in the Polish leagues! Besides what other Brit would beat GP calibre riders? -

I'd put Bewley in heats 13+16, especially as Holder has just made the start from grid 4! -

As long as any team is 6 down, should always make a reserve change a tac sub -

Brennan can be proud of his efforts, but it's a word cup final, no easy heats. Brennan & Ellis could conceivably ride at their absolute best & still score 0 -

Terrible call by the ref for me. Lovely move by Doyle, but he miss timed it & knocked off Jensen! -

No rider has ever used their NL average to determine their Champ ave. -

If I was GB I'd leave Ellis & Brennan in their first ride to give GB a better chance of being "artificially" 6 points down & allow tac subs. I also would have put them at 1&2 so they'd be in heats 5&6 - if GB aren't 6 points down after only using their top riders in 2 of the first 5 heats then they're fighting for the title anyway! -
I was assuming the "fortress" comment was a joke? No-one is mathematically out of the running as 6th place team Edinburgh only have 7 league points. I'd also say no-one is realistically out of the running as the bottom 4 clubs have lost repeatedly at home. Anyone who wins their remaining home fixtures stands a chance.
-
Does that mean they are only looking to sign this rider if they make the play-offs? Surely if he's going to turn them into title favourites, they should sign him up now to ensure they make the top 6?

Last Champ average I can find for Boxall is 5.15 (2016). He may be due a reduction, who knows? Berwick can't just declare him in their team - but he could guest for TJ if injured?
