  1. Others don't have to take the qualifying route, they can get seeded into the series. Besides what nation would nominate Laguta & Sayfutdinov, doubt Poland would give up any of their spots?
  2. I agree if you pick one, you should pick both, it's just a personal choice based on Laguta's terrible attitude in his debut British season. Nothing to do with his ability.
  3. Quite likely, but he qualified so deserves his chance. One downside of having 5 wildcards is some top riders not entering the qualifying system as they'll expect a wildcard. So you could get riders qualifying but being out of their depth in the GPs. But despite thier poor seasons, riders like Przedpelski deserved & Nilsson 100% deserved to be in the GPs, besides - someone has to finish bottom.
  4. Woffy had no divine right to be in the GPs, & never enters the qualifiers, so I can't see any reason for him to have a strop (if he did).
  5. My picks: Sayfutdinov, Kolodziej, Thomsen, Bewley & Fricke. Expected picks: Thomsen, Bewley, Woffinden, Fricke & Janowski / Kubera?
  6. Gotcha, not easy to get sarcasm when it's written down
  7. I understand your point, but Smith can only guest against Belle Vue because they've deemed him not good enough to ride for them? He's surplus to requirements as Belle Vue (correctly) believe Bailey to be stronger, so in theory shouldn't score any points, if they lost out - need to blame themselves for not riding well enough, that's my view anyway.
  8. I'm obviously in the minority here, but I have no issue with Harris guesting for Ipswich in the semi & then Sheffield in the final. Riders guest all year round & can even knock their own team out of competitions. So can't see how this is a big issue, when his team isn't involved.
  9. Consider the alternative though, riders for Kent, Mildenhall etc, could guest in any match, but if Colts aren't allowed to guest against the Aces, they'll have less chances to guest as an RS. Seems odd that signing for Belle Vue Colts could limit your Prem chances?
  10. His system shows the flaw in using 4 or 5 year old averages for GP riders!
  11. I personally hate the drone footage shown in the GPs, by all means show it after the race for a different view, but please not during races.
  12. Redcar wanted Jenkins this year, but he went where he got paid more (nothing wrong with that) so a team's assets mustn't mean much?
  13. Completely forgot Poole were racing today, guess I'm not used to clubs reaching the play-off final & then racing another qualifying match lol!
  14. Ben Cook would have been a good choice imo Edit: forgot Poole were racing tonight
  15. They've had similar ideas in the past, but it means club finishing second can get 2 big play-off crowds, whereas table toppers only get one big crowd! Plus the team that gets a bye are not as race fit as the semi final winners
  16. That's the whole point of play-offs, the top 4 have an equal chance of being Champions. I don't like play-offs & think top of the league should be Champions. But it's what the clubs voted for, so 1st & 2nd can have no complaints.
  17. Sheffield replaced Holder when he was injured. He's free to race in Poland & the GPs.
  18. If Sheffield had two riders in mind they wanted for the final, the best option would be to "drop" their second choice tonight (as they are 99% through) and go with their 3rd best option, the use the second best pick for the final. That may be what they are doing with Lawson & Harris?
  19. I understand your point, but if you can pick "horses for courses" during the season, why stop just for the play-offs? Plus there's the +5% at home rule, some riders could guest at home but not away!
  20. Whatever to he ruling is, I'm sure in this situation if the Wolves riders told the ref the track was safe, it's unlikely to be abandoned early
  21. Why are some people so upset Edinburgh didn't have a guest for Cook? it's not against the rules, r/r is allowed whatever the situation. All year long I read comments about too many guests, now complaints teams aren't using guests lol!
  22. Good stuff, must have read my comments lol!
  23. For the integrity of the sport (don't laugh at me) it really should be run. I don't know if Workington have season tickets, but if they do, they'd be missing out on a match, so would any sponsors expecting x amount of meetings for publicity. Not to mention young hungry British youngsters wanting track time.
  24. Totally agree there, even with Tarasenko getting an r/r outing, the reserves still have to take 10 rides between them, Poole's reserves are going better. Gotta fancy Pirates for a big home win & narrow away defeat.
  25. Poole aren't winning against adversity, they'll win because they are stronger than Glasgow & clear favourites imo Yes Tarasenko is on a daft average, but Poole or Oxford could have signed him too! If we struck off everyone who came up with idiotic rules, there would be no-one left to run the sport lol! Stop pretending Poole are underdogs to 1) give yourself an excuse if they lose, 2) celebrate a triumph against all odds when they win. Many tried that tactic with Scunthorpe & I didn't believe them then either. If you REALLY believe Poole are the underdogs, I'd say you should have more faith in your team. Since dropping down Poole have won everything (7 man competitions). Poole are the best team in the league!
