Put in Fredriksen for Boughen & it fits. Think Lasse would be a strong reserve.
-
Not sure I'd agree with that philosophy, Hagon got his average as high as 5.18 this season, wether you think Thomsen should have kept him at reserve for longer or not, if a rider is capable of that figure they have to expect to move up into the team. Some riders make the step up to the top 5 easier than others, Hagon obviously found it harder than might have been expected.

Now Boughen isn't coming back, how about? Sam Masters 9.15 Scott Nicholls 8.53 Heeps / Jenkins 6.37 / 6.21 Dan Gilkes 5.08 Nathan Ablitt 4.91 Luke Killeen 3.85 Jody Scott 2.00 Total 39.89 / 39.73

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one, for me this thread is for confirmed signings not common knowledge (unconfirmed signings) -
SGB Championship 2025 - Confirmed Signings

I agree, now is the time to remove him. -
That would make a lot of sense, unless Birmingham decided Rew is the difference between winning & losing thus increasing crowds?
-
I cannot imagine Poole would drop Foord (3.90) for Starke (3.36) if they'd have 4.32 available?

Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025

Just go strength in depth, so far all the signed riders look good to me. If it's true, as much as it'd be a shame to lose Schlein, doesn't mean they can't still put a good team together. -
Interesting point, it seems riders want doubling up, but most fans want doubling up done away with it, or at least limited.
-
With rumours of a larger NDL, you'd think he'd get a team spot there, after all many on here have commented where are all the extra riders going to come from? Makes me wonder, should any new work permits be issued when there are Brits (of a certain level) without team spots?
-
That wouldn't surprise me, just think it'd make sense for more Spires / Cheetahs doubling up, last year just Boughen (till Killeen at the end of the season) so far this year, just Killeen.
-
Is it possible that Oxford wanted Masters for both the Spires & Cheetahs then when he stayed at Leicester, they decided to go with Riss in both teams? Riss & Nicholls as a spearhead? Masters to Edinburgh?
-
Why would it be madness? He got that average because he improved. Of course being Speedway, having a great season cam be a reason to get dropped!
-
How about? Justin Sedgmen 7.92 Paco Castagna 7.11 Cameron Heeps 6.37 Mathias Pollestad 5.00 Nathan Ablitt 4.91 Lasse Fredriksen 4.67 Mitchell McDiarmid 4.00 Total 39.98 Took a guess as the assessed riders averages.
-
Why does column 6 give riders a 3.50 average, when the lowest average for foreigners is 4.00? It's not changed to a minimum 3.50 has it?
-
The team would actually fit with no reassessed averages Tobiasz Musielak 8.21 Jacob Thorssell 7.33 Matej Zagar 7.20 Kim Nilsson 7.13 Keynan Rew 5.67 Jonas Jeppesen 4.00 Jason Edwards RS Total 39.54

I can understand Gilkes position, not expecting to score as many points as last year in a tougher position, so wanting more money. But feel Sheffield are sensible to stand their ground, plenty of options who will score much the same as Dan would.
-
That is true, I guess in a strong looking league, an average looking team could end up bottom. I'm probably thinking on the positive side, cause I'd love Birmingham to do well & keep going for years to come.
-
I'd think they must have a number one lined up, otherwise why would they release Harris? If they're going down the strength in depth option, Harris would work out.
-
That could be true, but all that matters is if they can you their starting aves, which I don't know.
-
Looks a similar team to Lynn to me, except Brummies would have a stronger number one!
-
No offence to Gilkes but why would clubs get into a bidding war over him? Especially Oxford who have lots of points to play with. Bit of a mystery when he wasn't announced for Sheffield.
-
Bowtell & Ablitt don't fit (according to my sums)
-
Yeah the first part is very true, maybe would've been worthwhile if Jack hasn't gone back home to Australia yet & could come out as a surprise at the next fans event? I kinda hope Harrison would say no, I feel it's far too early in his career for such a move & could destroy his confidence, though strangely don't have the same concerns about Foord, maybe because he appears to have such a cocky personality? Danyon Hume is the highest averaged rider using a Champ conversion, although Gilkes has a higher Champ ave, mind you it's actually Joe Thompson who is the highest available Champ rider who could fill the spot with his 3 point Prem ave. Bizarrely even though no one picked Nathan Ablitt as a "rising star" his average would be too high to fill the number 6 spot for Sheffield! Maybe that should be a rule change of you qualify as a RS you should be available on a 3.00 in the Prem (for your first season)?

Really, that looks like a play-off team to me, can't imagine it would fit under the limit, although I don't know riders assessed averages.
