I'm just wondering if the rumoured June start for coverage has anything to do with less chance of rain offs? My neighbour works for Conlon all he knows is the mound of earth is to be used to raise the current site up and that the land between the existing car park and Robins farm pub/David Lloyd centre is earmarked for retail units which aren't the new market as that was supposedly going under the original new stand which had then change to a bolt together prefab , but as far as a new stadium he and others that had built the gabion wall have no clue as to the reasons why a new stadium hadn't been started yet

That's the whole point , but GI and Stadia uk couldn't give a flying one about speedway which still puts speedway in either location in serious doubt It does if Stadia uk get involved at Oxford , would mean they wouldn't require a dog stadium in Swindon or more the point the expense of a new build , they will merely knock down the old one and build more houses plus extra on the land supposedly allocated for the imaginary new stadium

So appears to me Stadia UK are hoping to move there operation to Blackbird Leys as the timing all seems very suspect

Timing is rather suspect isn't it? Drag the supposed new Swindon stadium out with little progress and now it seems Oxford is a goer for greyhounds again, you have to consider those buggers at GI/Stadia UK didn't want speedway initially in there proposed new greyhound stadium and let's be honest they still don't and before anyone mentions Swindon Borough Council insisting it does include it then pah take that with a pinch of salt!!

Don't understand why anyone thinks the NSS wouldn't suit Bjerre? Only really suited King as the only line in the Brit final was the outside, Bjerre on good fast equipment should be as capable as anyone plus in any case not all 7 have to be awesome round there but a good away performer which I'm confident he will be once again definitely merits his inclusion
