From someone who requested to have Swindon thread removed from this category??? -
Sports a ******* joke right now....yes I know you get the usual 'just be thankful there is speedway' brigade piping up but for the love of God the ending to this season?!.....unbelievable. How can anyone explain the point of a season where two sides qualify , and let's be honest by far the best sides, in a league where you ride home and away and then same in a semi only for the Title to be decided on one home track and one neutral? Wtaf....added to that the fiasco of Mildenhalls line up, LambertGate, running a 6th round of an event before the 5th round which was moved to a track with no relevance to it only to be shelved anyway....oh and a league missing the cut off completion date (PL) and having to finish it AFTER its playoffs ....pathetic....would had followed tonights meeting on updates as it was well poised but not now, yes Leicester may win although probably not but whatever the overall result it's an absolute sham and makes a mockery of the whole season.

Swindon Speedway. Your classic memories.

So many....one day I will list them but don't really feel like it at the moment, trying to fight for the sport without getting involved with the sham group who are pretending to....but will mention one thing and that's meeting my mate Mark through speedway and enjoying plenty Of times up there with him. -
Pretty naive wasn't it?
-
Spot on! They are trying to dangle a carrot to SBC in the hope they allow the next phase of House build ,I just wish Kilby and Rossiter now disassociate themselves from this sham company
-
Bumped into him on Sunday last but one at Swindon Shuffle music event in Beehive pub....I didn't mention speedway didn't seem much point! He's around doing his thing pubwise etc

Am I the only one who finds it surprising the amount of bookings a certain guest rider gets at 7? Can anyone recall when he actually beat an opposing rider in PL? ....just wondering. -
It is amazing but I think his time as Swindon North MP will come to an end next election....unless there's another stitch up probably involving the newer residents this sham has created

I know it's a long shot but I've no idea if anyone at Swindon Speedway (is it still a thing?) are actually interested in any possibility of the sport returning so have made contact with a handful of local business people I'm involved in one form of another and were going to attempt to get some cooperation and hopefully some form of subsidy from SBC (yes i know probably zero chance) regarding land and a possibility of multi function usage, Speedway and other leisure activities ...maybe a skatepark plus BMX track and for my selfish needs an open air and indoor concert venue. Believe it or not some people are interested keen on fact but we know how this Council hates sport leisure and The Arts. The USP on this must be an as much use facility as possible and possibly and reluctantly something that is of financial interest to the council but in no way let them much influence on the running of. Like I say long shot but there is Such a lack of proactiveness in this sad little area! Can only try (and rattle cages)
