Wow, great news!

The track grading was laughable to be honest; I wasn’t clear what the strategy was? And yes I agree the noise on the back straight was indeed the track base scraping.

Not a lot of dirt, so not a lot of lines! Not much passing. I had a good night though.

Never been to the EW raceway before. Will definitely return, on a dry and sunny day the track was well prepared and not dusty! Made for good racing and more than one line. Great facilities and the few folk I spoke to were very welcoming. Scunthorpe have a good product on offer there and should be very thankful. I have been to a number of tracks over the years and I have to say it holds up in comparison. I’m a diamonds fan; I was impressed by Jorgensen and Lambert, I also think Palin has a huge future in the sport. His ride in heat two was impressive. Mountain looked decent and on the pace, it was a matter of time before Roynon crashed and I agree he looked loose at times; his style makes him look almost out of control. I hope he’s okay as it looked bad from my view point. I thought Auty had a poor night, on a track he’s ridden since he was a lad. Wishing you all the best for the season ahead….I’m hoping that the season doesn’t end early…..

It will be because speedway GP dont get any money from riders individual merchandise as they dont own the rights, whereas they do from their own as poor as it is!

Great list! When footy players transfer they often recall a team that was their favourite and add that they always look for their results on a saturday! I wonder who's scores johnno looks for!!

Why do sky only show the lap or so on replay, often stopping just as a good pass is about to happen, then they show you the same lap from a different angle?

I pre-ordered this book form Amazon, but the delivery to them has been held up, only dispatched today! I await its arrival!

As i siad on another thread, i usually stay at lavernoch, it has great views, i can totally reccomend it, they run their own taxis into the stadium, you book at reception the time you want, if there is 2 of you share and its cheaper. We got a taxi back last year and it was less than a tenner! They have had a cafe in the past for breakfasts and that, also have a pub on site! Showers are basic but clean! There is always a tent full of mad geordies who use and old blue scout type tent! Jak Hargreaves was there last year and Mr Auty the year before.

See my above post! You can get a three (but really its 2) person tent in tesco which will be good enough for you for one night for less than £30! Return taxi from cardiff to the site for £20 between four is nothing!!! On the day of the meeting they run there own taxi's into town, you just book at reception! I've stayed there the last two years and its great, the views are very good! This year I'm treating myself to a hotel!

If you get an earlier train then try camping at lavernoch point! only about £5 per head, use the other money to get a cab down first thing! There will be loadsa space and it will take you 15 min in a cab and wont cost more than a tenner! The facilities at the station are not that good! website is www.lavernochpoint.com

1) Tickets are very expensive. 2) Too many hangers on with free bees! 3) Hotels room prices are a rip off! And too many are block booked! 4) The coaches you get from tracks are a nightmare, made the mistake of going on one in 2004, form manchester to cardiff via stoke and wolverhampton. Never again, took forever! All of these can be sorted without the meed for someone who is a whizz at marketing! Greed mainly!

The recent ones were in the speedway star, i think he came second in the first meeting behind Manu, but i'm guessing you know that?
