  1. thats a damn good point.. at GP's the fuel is taken out and replaced every time before they go into a race.. and the fuel is topped up by officials on the track if there is a stoppage.. hmm the plot thickens...
  2. as much as i liked that post.. there was an awful lot of wasted words in there.. and whilst i agree the english language is being lost.. its a sign of the times.. cannot get away from it and you cannot change it.. shame but true.
  3. i see you have thought about it.... here he is people the culprit haha.. i joke of course.
  4. hey thats ok.. we all do it now and again.. nice to see people apologies.. like i did after finding out about Havvy and his injuries which led to my incorrect assumption..
  5. i didnt say there was nothing wrong with it.. i just dont think its a massive issue certainly not worth all this hype about it... and i actually said i would think Sue will have a word in his ear as his mum.. i didnt say i think she should have a word.. two completely different things..
  6. and anyones assumptions about Tai not caring about British Speedway is just as bad.. I was actually not aware of Havvy's injuries so that explains a lot.. i actually sat there thinking he had a good night.. and if he see's this i do apologies to him and apologies to anyone it may have offended.. but think of an outside viewer.. like i was really not really knowing him or his history that well.. watching for the first time which is what everyone is going on about with witnessing Tai swearing on TV..
  7. not at all this is a debate and i am merely putting my point across
  8. i watched the coventry and kings lynn match the other night and it looked like Havvy had been on a bender and was sniffing like he had been on a white powder mission.. is that a good look for a team manager or anyone in the sport.. is darcy being drunk at a meeting any worse.. is lindback being arrested for alleged rape any worse the list could go on.. but our world champ get a crowd hyped by saying one swear word which i reckon is one of the most common words in this day and age and the pc brigade come crashing down
  9. respect is completely different.. my daughter has complete respect for me and respects me as her dad.. however in later life (as she is 2 1/2) if she does something full on like a bunge jump and comes off and a swear word comes out i will not have a fit over it when you have just done something scary or full on and your brain is in over drive you do not have the compus mentis to control what is said.. now when she is with her mum and she is out on the street walking to the shops there are plenty of kids swearing around her and she will hear far worse than what Tai said.. no matter what any of you say these words are common place in the world and they are just words.. i would be more concerned if he said F**K you NI**ER you won... but he said after a heated race when i microphone shoved in his face after he had just been congratulating the winner said make some F**KING NOISE... no harm and it did the job.. get with the times.. words now are becoming less important and its now the way the words are used that is more important.
  10. maybe he should put them in his own tank he may just go a bit faster lol
  11. firstly dont feel sorry for me.. secondly if my child did that i would ask them why they felt the need to do it.. if they had just done a bunge jump and got of and said that was F**KING awesome.... i wouldnt say a word..
  12. they are static foam filled fuel tanks.. so no not floating around.. i think it would effect it.. but open to anyone with experience but as said i do believe it will hinder fuel flow rates..
  13. chris harris won it once as well.. lol.. cant see that being an issue to anyone else..
  14. thats my thoughts.. any of the top 4 maybe.. but not NKI
  15. not part of a GP surely.. the bikes are watched over apart from at night where security are there and they are on lock down.. so when could it of happened if it happened at all.. tough one answers on a postcard..
  16. i wasnt thinking inuendo.. but you are bang on right.. how can someone get that close to his bikes to do that.. at a GP the fuel is taken out and replaced before every ride by pit staff but how can his pit crew allow anyone to get that close to do that.. something isnt right
  17. but as chris louis quite rightly said in race cars they have sponge in the tank to stop it unballancing the car.. but i guess they have a fuel pump though.. someone some where will be hoping they are not caught.. that is crazy.. someone could get so close to his bike and put that in.. all speculation i guess as he probably used both bikes and neither did anything..
  18. i watched that.. as well and was going to start the topic but got caught up in the fun filled Tai topic.. i think it would do.. but i am sure a true mechanic will come on and let us know.. although Robert72 will be on to offer us his years of racing knowledge lol
  19. good point,, swearing has been part of music for ages... notably the Who back in 1978 did the song "who are you" where in the song it said Who the F*ck are you http://top40.about.com/od/top10lists/ss/10-Examples-Of-Swear-Words-and-Foul-Language-In-Pop-Music.htm#step1 no but everyone could hear it.. and yes they were competing against another commando unit..
  20. in the crowd yes there were.. it was partially a family day.. but its the forces and it was highly fuelled and a major assualt course when adrenaline is high its very hard to keep your compus mentis.. and i would challenge anyone to avoid it when you are highly charged..
  21. i dont see any problem with a swear word i want my children to know what they are and the differing ways of using them so she is educated.. there is a difference in saying "you F**KING idiot" and make some "F**KING noise... at the end of a energetic and adrenaline fueled race.." both taken in completely different ways and gets a different response.. and for your information I have recieved a medal from both the Queen and Prince Charles.. and before that we did an excersise where there was plenty of swearing with them watching.. and i have also heard both Princes Harry and William swear in the company of fellow forces personnel.. JUST SAYING...
  22. i was joking mate.. i may well have been incorrect but they are still by far better off than we are..
  23. wow something else to blame Tai for..
  24. jesus are you a fan of anyone.. in fact why am i typing this back to you i know your answer will bore me...
