I hope you are right he is a damn good rider and I know he would do a good job for any team on any track much like Kyle and Lee.. Home track knowledge is better must always win at home.. Best of luck to the new promotion on building a great team

Well if you know him go ask him the same question you just said he hated it.. he was out injured last year and I hope he will be ok to ride next year .. i suggest you go speak to him and ask him before putting out on a public forum that the potential new promoters could be looking in on stating he hates plymouth.. potentially writing off a chance of a team place for next year..

Not in the know just stating what my choices would be.. solid performers and good knowledge to have in the pits for some younger riders.. Doesn't mean he wouldn't be good around there now.. when was the last time he rode it ?? I would say it's a good few years ago.. he used to hate it but I would bet he doesn't now young riders who couldn't handle it used to hate it quite a few riders hated the track usually because of the waves going into bend 3.. of course if you know him go check with him.. the last time I spoke to him about speedway he didn't hate it at all.. and I would say while Brendan is hopefully going to be fit for next years racing you try not to tell potential promoters wrong facts about riders.. that's unfair to the riders Poorly informed really.. tut tut

Haven't spoken to him in a while I do apologies.. rolleyes.. he can be a mate and not speak for a while.. I dont think mike would get it anyway some one will probably value it more than he would he would have put in a low ish bid I reckon but time will tell I guess.. And not again that was my first thought not really had another thought to be fair I have better things to be thinking about at this moment in time... Can't wait to find out who it is.. stop all this speculation and at last you guys will have something to be happy about I hope.. you guys will flourish in the national league get that crowd back strong and healthy and then move up again

Well information that has come to me from a couple of different way tell me a certain ex rider from Cornwall is leading the march.. but wasn't he part of the old consortium ??? Will all these people saying a clean sweep be discouraged by this or will you be ok with it ??.. He is a great bloke as well good mate and a great family we will see what happens the plot thickens

Still no news..??? thought the decision was supposed to be made Friday and no news today.. thought there would be a big thing in the papers or news and if an application was made to the BSPA for a 2017 license and in what league.. ??

Dropping out of the Premier League has all but finished the club... Seriously that's rubbish national league hasn't even turned a wheel there yet.. that's a bad way to be really. And yes Bowden or whoever takes it on has to be in it for himself/themselves they have to make a profit and that includes putting a winning side together putting on a show and keeping it open for all you to go and visit whoever takes it over isn't a charity..

BINGO again I am glad some others on here can see what I have been saying.. for me as long as that promoters puts a show on and gives the paying public a team to be proud of then they have done their job..

oh i know that and i am in that club with you.. and him getting in free is only one persons problem and that was the old promoter.. when i visited i paid the same as everyone else yes i walked in through the main gate in front of everyone else but i gave my money in the same as everyone else.. although i was down the track chatting with ashley during the morning when they were fixing the air fence.. but even still if bowden gets the place i will still go when i visit it wont stop me from supporting the devils.. thats my drift.. and to be honest it shouldnt stop anyone else.. do not cut your nose off to spite your face i think the saying is.. lets hope someone else comes in does the right thing and keeps you all happy and doesnt mess up.. i feel this will be the last chance anyone will get to save them.. so they best get the job done right or you wont have a team full stop..

i think i read they will have it increased by 1.4 not multiplied by 1.4... so an 8 should be 9.4 is that right ?

I dont like him as much as the next person please dont think I am sticking up for the guy I just dont want to see the Team Die... if he was to get it back I would still visit and support the team.. and I think my reasons will out weigh most of anyone elses but I do know he will do a good job and you dont need to like your promoter you just need to know he will put a good side out and pay the bills and keep it running.. such a shame others cannot do the same and Bowden has been in the stadium ever since he sold it watching it most weeks lol.. cannot wait to see who gets it.. and if Bowden does get it the uproar that goes on..

are you saying if he does get it back you wont support the team ?? or just that you dont want him to get it back ? i would never second guess the BSPA they want a team running and may dissapoint you there.. and with reference to the track staff if they dont want to I guess there will be a que behind them wanting to be involved.. it isnt a massive job really.. let hope who ever gets it makes the right choices for the future of the sport in Plymouth I say again National League would be the safe bet and someone who knows the in's and out's of the sport as well.. I think its tomorrow you will find out isnt it ??

I doubt very much that Lee will be involved but that will be down to a discussion between them both I wouldn't want to second guess what is going to happen.. but if he doesn't mike will team manage himself I guess like he did last time.. most riders will tell you he always did right by them always paid on time and paid well..you really seem to have a bee in your bonnet don't you !!! Optimal point you made there... I was one of the family I run the pits.. have no dealings with the family any more but don't hold any malice towards them at all.. I think if mike does get back in control of the devils things will have to be different than they were but time will only tell.. Although I do feel he will be the one to get them back up and running because I know mike will not run the speedway and make a loss so if he believes he can make it work then fair play to him.. as said time will tell but I hope it all works and speedway isn't lost..

Never said Lee was a problem Lee is a mate of mine what I said it was only Lee in the paper and people didn't know the promotion and was that the problem.. Lee did a great job and I speak to both him and his partner and I know what the relationship was like between the riders and Lee.. so I guess you either didn't read what I wrote properly or have a proper bee in your bonnet.. so glad Mr Mungo read it properly.. It's always been a huge catchment area and they have done quite a lot already but it doesn't happen it may do with the right team involved but it will take a lot of work... As I have said best of luck to whoever gets it I just hope everyone supports whoever it is and whatever league they are in..
