haha.. its an opinion from what i see you type on an open forum.. which this is you dont know me and i dont know you... seems what i have said has cut a nerve with you though which i apologies if it has.. but if you dont want people to judge then i suggest not to put it on an open forum.. going to another venue is cool i do it..but why tag Plymouths defeat with your reason as to why you will be doing it thats a tad harsh.. even your comment on the plymouth forum stopped the bus company from doing a coach up from cornwall (although i will agree with your reply to mark that one comment shouldnt have stopped it).. people can read into things both rightly and wrongly.. i dont have any issue with anyone visiting several tracks to watch speedway as its a great sport i am lucky where i live now to have quite a few tracks within a fairly short driving distance.. let me lay this one out to you lewy.. i dont care about your opinion or others on me.. if someone has taken the time to get to know me then they know i am a passionate person and about this sport and Plymouth in particular as it hold fond memories for me as well as some bad ones..its just sometimes people dont like to hear my opion on things as its straight and matter of fact especially when it goes against their opinion and then they dont want to have a conversation about it instead doing what you did.... i have plenty of very good friends thank you and the last time i visited the Plymouth track i had plenty of people come to me for a chat as well as sitting in the pits throughout the meeting.. so i dont worry about your comments at all.. all the best with 2017 whoever you decide to support speedway should always be the winner and Plymouth including Mark & Laurence deserve everyones support win... lose or draw you should feel very lucky you even have speedway in the city after nearly losing it on more than one occasion.. all that fighting for it to stay open and when you get a home defeat pledge you are going to watch another team.. thats the bit i saw as harsh

wow... a few meetings in and people are already saying how bad it is.. talk about giving a promotion and the team time.. told you Laurence you got your work cut out personally bits like lewy are saying is no good at all.. support your team in the bad times they will reward you in the good times..

i know Matt has an old bike from Seemond Stephens and they were always quick and motors are all very strong..

i would bet my last pound it was wasted.. or it filled the gap between gate money and paying the riders which they didnt do that fully.. i would imagine you will never get a full answer as to where it went and i would bet lies would still be forthcoming..

you need to take it up with them directly then keep it off the forum as anyone can read this all be it a new supporter if it is god help them this place can be ruthless.. Dont let it spoil the sport you enjoy in Plymouth and the new promotion.. I would guess the people involved with those things are no longer involved.. I dont live in Plymouth any more but had my hand in when i was there defending the in-defensible as in Mr Bowden.. all these things you mention about are nothing to with the new promotion or the people involved with the running of it.. would it be easier to say ( and i know nothing of it so excuse me ) all the money has gone... all the promises have gone... people lied to you.. again i dont know anything of what went on and what was said.. but if you take worst case understand that then move on.. is it that easy ?

let the air fence collection go.. let the fan zone things go... all went with the old promotion who have absolutely nothing to do with the new guys.. never hold onto a grudge it will eat you up and things never move on trust me.. the new promotion are working their backsides off to give you guys the sport you love support them not harp onto the past.

This is crazy.. the Team are in a new generation now with new promoters which are doing an amazing job and you guys still harp on about the past.. so what if people put their name down how do you know there are not other reasons for their non attendance it always has to be an agenda people should not feel forced to go down and if they dont should not get this kind of treatment. if they dont go down they dont go down if its for other reasons leave them be they will pay to get in at the end of the day but if they feel like they are being looked at like this they may not turn up. let the past go let petty jibes go.. this is a new era of speedway in Plymouth and its being run by two guys who have a lot of passion for the sport support them with everything you have they will need it for the beginning part of the season. This topic should be about the Devils and the new team etc.. not about people turning up and not.. and Godfrey Spargo stop spreading your little rumours about what you hear is going on.. get that bee out of your bonnet and support the best you can.. if you cant do that then dont.. i am pretty sure the two guys running the team wont lose any sleep over it.

Mark i wish you and Laurence every luck with the team.. although i dont live in Plymouth any more i will always have a soft spot in my heart for the team and the people invovled.. I know the struggles you will have locally but i really do believe you have the best team in place to make this the success it deserves to be and i look forward to visiting this year to watch the team ride again although you may not get the top businesses involved right now when they see it is run properly they will soon be coming to you to put their name to the team.. it will take time because the Devils have been messed about by more than one promoter now and not run properly.. but i know you guys have it all under control it will just take a bit of time for people to forget the past and move on as you can clearly see by this forum topic.. !!

ok please explain how i am defending him ?? all i said if he was or wasnt is by the by never said he did or didnt do anything. and to be honest i think you need to get out of that era and concentrate on what is coming for you with Laurence and Mark at the helm you are in very good hands stop going back on the past i am really sure the two guys running it now are not looking back at what has gone on... its one company chris dawson although a nice bloke is now protected by so many gate keepers you wont get to him unless you bump into him.. back when he sponsored the Devils he wasnt as big as he is now.. still plenty of businesses in and around the Plymouth area stop harping on about one of them. i need to clarify here i have zero allegance to Bowden or his family i have been messed about more than you guys ever have by them.. it would be a day too soon if i saw them again.. there are however some nice bowdens in the family and they are not all like Mike.. i spent a lot of time trying to defend him on here in the past but i was fighting a fire with a fire but i was also trying to defend the team.. the team is the one you need to get behind now.. forget bowden ever happened and move forwards.. thats my advice take it or not mate i wont fall out with anyone over Mike Bowden because no matter what you tell me i know far worse..

he certainly was a regular always parks his bentley in the car park.. if he was or wasnt messed about with is by the by really.. i douby very much he will come back to Plymouth and i would suggest frequenting cafe's looking for him would result in a restraining order lol

used to sponsor/advertise the team ages ago when Mike Bowden had it.. so he probably blew it.. always worth another try but he is now national as well.

I watched boxhal around the SBA last year and was impressed although hearing he didn't make an away fixture concerned me.. I would disagree on Kyle though his kit is always on form I had spent a lot of time with Kyle in past years always looked after his kit and he is very good around the SBA.. and it would leave a bigger chunk to allow for some higher average riders into the mix. I am really sure Laurence and Mark have made sure of the riders commitment and I wish the devils the very best of luck in 2017.

I would have preferred Kyle Hughes at number one.. leaving more for better second strings.. boxal never been reliable for travelling and over 10 average.. Kyle has good track knowledge of Plymouth as well

its a picture of a devils face which by the time it hits any promo will have sponsors names on it as well.. its not like its a picture dipicting the holocaust is it.. what else would you want a picture of the Plymouth Devils to contain. the old logo wasnt any good either and i didnt see any of this while that one was in use.. this one is a bit clearer its a devils face which as said once it has a sponsor name added will calm it down i guess if you are that way inclined. i really do not see the point in all this moaning about what is just a picture.

i kind of like it... it brings a new era and a new face to the team... the older generation will still want the original logo from back in the day i guess as its what they see as the standard logo.. it needed bringing into the 21st century i reckon..

this topic should be about the potential upcoming team for the devils but i feel this is not doing the team and its new prospects any good. keyham runs a tight ship always has done and always will do he is fair to an extreme but doesnt put up with rubbish ( I have given him his fair share but thats time gone past ) people can still read the forum and if all you want is to be able to read what is going on then do that.. its what i do i keep bang up to date on the team i once had the pleasure of being involved with but not the person running the team at the time.. this is a very exciting time for the devils new ownership with two guys who will really run the team in the very best way and have an extreme passion for the sport that is what you need the devils fans now have a team run by the best people and a forum to shout about for not having crap on and one that the promotion post on which is really very good. this site can be mental at times and i for one wouldnt want to run a forum thats pretty much let loose.. long live the devils and i wish the team and the new promotion all the best in the 2017 season i will for one travel down a few times to watch them run.

you will be suprised i am sure the rent was over 1000 a week when bowden had it.. so 25k isnt that hard to get to ..

i agree with you on that one.. would you use him on a 10+ average I think using that much on one rider could be a stretch too far.. for a balanced team
