  1. I'm sure he wants to make an impression 😉 I have no issue with Kasprzak facing Poole after a superb performance in the 2010 final.
  2. Why were riders allowed to leave before the fans were allowed into the stadium. Very poor indeed.
  3. The rain we had on Wednesday was very heavy from early hours till afternoon. Seen pictures yesterday near to Brandon with fields and roads flooded. Today's would've been a lovely day to watch P&P.
  4. Had an operation on his nose to help with breathing. He was going to ride at the training camp but actually took the doctors advice to rest it for another week.
  5. 2 years in a row Coventry wasn't asked. Got to the final in 2014 then finished 2nd in the League last year.....
  6. They've only released the rules and regulations for 2016 yesterday so I expect some clubs will announce number 8+9 this week. I don't think we are signing him having a quick look at the rules, he'd be sharing a role if he was signed.
  7. Morris is contracted to both, being an asset has sod all to do with it unless its his two British clubs riding the same day. If he is British then his British club would take priority but when his nationality is neither of the clubs it usually goes to the club who arranges the fixture first. Andreas Jonsson for example is a Cov asset, if he rode for Cov but if his Polish club arranged a fixture first he would ride for them and the same vice versa. Its happened plenty of times in the past, being an asset has no bearing unless its a clash of British clubs. Of course the Swindon match could have been in the fixture list first hence him riding for them, I was giving a valid reason why he perhaps might not have been.
  8. Doesn't matter if he's an asset, he's contracted to both clubs so whichever meeting was arranged first he rides for that club unless there is either a deal between the clubs so he could ride at one or simply his polish club dont require him for that meeting. Whatever the reason it seems he will ride for Swindon so a bit of common sense has prevailed.
  9. If the Kings Lynn meeting was arranged first and Wroclaw want to use Morris then Morris will have to ride at Kings Lynn, thats how it usually works I believe.
  10. With Morris surely it depends which meeting was arranged first? If it was the one at Kings Lynn and Wroclaw want to use him then he has to ride for them. I do find it incredible that Doyle will ride at Kings Lynn though, surely he got permission from Rosco.
  11. Polish fixtures now changed and all of Bjarnes is on a Sunday so no fixtures clashes. I'm sure he may get an offer or two after the first set of averages come out.
  12. Nice to see Chris Harris will still attend the training camp in Croatia despite him not being able to ride after a minor operation. True commitment.
  13. Belle Vue ride on a Friday as do Coventry and Lakeside, Leicester also seemingly keen to ride Friday. Swindon and KL ride Thursday. If we move 6 clubs racenight to Monday and Wednesday it'll be a financial disaster for them so guess what some of them will likely do? Drop down to PL level. So then what would be the point of having a Monday and Wednesday as set nights? Don't think Belle Vue would be at all keen as they have a stadium to pay for, they also picked Friday nights for a reason.
  14. Id say crowds at Brandon have generally held over the last 4-5 years and that's including a season we finished bottom, obviously nothing like the Saturday crowds though. A move midweek would be difficult to hang on to the crowds we get at present. I could get to meetings but my kids on a school night? Not a chance. Coventry had Poole on a bank holiday at 11am a few years back it was the biggest crowd ive seen at Brandon for an EL meeting in a long time. Lots of families there to enjoy an afternoon of speedway, if the sport wants to attract families back it has to be when its accessible to them.
  15. Have a read about what's been going on in Polish Speedway over the winter, we thought British Speedway was a shambles! Its all very well having the riders who are paid handsomely but when the money runs out over there how good would they be then?
  16. Scott Nicholls will be part of BT Sports coverage of the GPs.
  17. That will hopefully be the plan but for now to help the few youngsters we do have in the draft system we need the older ones to make it at least competitive.
  18. The thing is to get 16 youngish riders that are competitive for the EL reserve role they would probably need at least 3-4 years experience riding in the lower leagues. I know we will get the odd rider who who is extremely talented like Robert Lambert but that for now is rare until they get a good training programme going.
  19. It'll be crazy if they didn't, anything to get the stadium built cheaper and more eco friendly the better.
  20. Its not called fast track anymore but I do understand your point. Not every rider involved in it will be young and inexperienced. Needs to be as competitive as possible and plus he is only the number 9 this year.
  21. Seems fair enough to me although I doubt some of the sides will have the same 1-7 by May. Looking at value either Swindon or Coventry for me, just one right change if averages work out can make them decent sides.
  22. That may be the case but Heaver has said he would want a stadium that can hold Stock Car crowds. I'm sure he said he expects 8,000+ for a meeting so it cant be just a track in a field. Obviously Belle Vue new stadium will surpass it easily, Brandon is now getting very old. If a new stadium can be half as good as what Belle Vue looks like it'll be id be very happy.
