Simple answer is because kids u16 are free and until this week a students a fiver. No other promotion does/did more to entice a new young fan base.
-
You'd think that as the promotion seems to have linked up with Wasps (they are listed as partners on website) they'd get a bit of advice on promotional skills and event experience. Have they actually sought advice or even attended the fans village before Wasps matches? I've never seen them to be honest.

Its just outside Coventry, I think (hope)! Don't think there is any sheep nearby so you're ok
-
Absolutely and the price difference is only a few quid for those clubs while for the Bees its £12 difference, huge amount lost! Coventry City used to at least ask for a covering letter if you was asking for a student season ticket, surely the Bees promotion can do the same.
-
The major difference is the price between adult and students watching the bees is £12 while the clubs you name I believe the price difference is perhaps £3-£5 so its less likely to happen plus even if it does the loss of revenue isn't so great. Other sports teams throughout the UK do have an age limit on student admission, if they want it to be £5 then they will have to adopt similar otherwise they will have to go back to £14 for all students as in previous seasons.

I like the posts from people that say "well I'm not going this week" but I still see them there and made up stories that friends are not going etc. Its like they have an agenda or something. We all know Horton isnt perfect but some 'fans' go way over the top and blatantly lie on social media to try and make a stronger case.

A TV show at 9pm on ITV called Drive, Brandon is featured in it.
-
I believe at this moment its temporary, hopefully it won't be long!
-
Yes for now. That sounds like the option they should take if the decide to carry on with the student rate
-
Sky announce on twitter that they will still show the same amount of meetings, including 5 in May and also 5 in June.
-
Probably would've been anyway to be fair.
-
They've had the right idea but implemented it wrong. Hopefully they will use the next few days to come to a right solution.
-
Luckily they have week to find a solution before our next meeting. Whatever is said its a very good price to keep fans attending once they start or are in higher education. The drop off between the ages 16-18 attending meetings must be huge.
-
I say it should be to 22 as that is around the natural time students generally finish education. If you're older and a student I guess more than likely that's a choice to carry on with education? Difficult one but there has to be an age limit.
-
Its not an excuse! People who need it most are now hurt by this more than the people who abused it! Agree it should be around 21-22 years of age, it wouldn't stop it being abused entirely but would certainly stop a lot of it. I know some football clubs do similar with students but cap it to a certain age.

The problem is it seems easy to get an NUS card, my mate did an internet course and was entitled to one. Any one of us could done the same without any intention of doing the course. I have more respect than to do something like that, shame some others don't have similar morals. The people it hinders most are the people who genuinely needed the rate, hopefully the club will announce how students can get a cheaper rate soon but they only way I can see it working is having a student age limit. The change is only temporary at this moment.
-
Cant believe people are defending people that are abusing the system. It was designed to help young people in education to attend meetings. How many fans do clubs lose when they reach the age of 16-18 because of the price increase? Massive shame but can understand why the promotion have took this stance, why should people who cheat the system get in cheap while good honest people are paying adult rate is good faith.

40.5 is the limit

During the winter id have been delighted if we signed Walasek.
-
Didnt help Coventry last year. Sky insist on 48 hour notice whether the meeting is likely to go ahead or not. Coventry tried to postpone the Cov v Poole fiasco last season on the morning of the meeting but wasn't allowed as it was on Sky.
-
Coventrys media guy was commentating on the pairs anyway even if Coventry had already been contacted.
-
After May 1st the heat leader list is null and void. Think it may explain the make up of the side. Gives the opportunity to bring someone in who would be regarded as heatleader but I might be giving Horton too much credit for thinking that!
-
You would've been disappointed anyway......
-
If course there is, Sky have changed the date of this twice for tv coverage now cant be bothered to show it at all. What's worse is that they said theyve based the decision based on forecast which is frankly a lie. I only kept Sky Sports for Speedway coverage if they cant be bothered give me my money back!

The signing of King is what did us, narrowed all the options for a decent 2nd string. I would suggest wait till May as to whether our season is over.
