Kasprzak, Garrity and Bates all had decent meetings last night. Bodes well for Monday.

Having a strong reserve always helps no matter what format is used. Pawlicki for Cov in 2010 and Smolinski for Brum are 2 examples. Having said that I didn't see the need for draft riders to still have protected heats now they can move up. In the coming months we are going to have riders who are heat leaders now being in protected heats. That cannot be right.

I know CCFC used to adopt a similar policy when it comes to students buying season tickets, think the letter of acceptance from college or uni was confirmation.

Bspa Warning About Live Streaming
Woz01 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely they would just mean cleancut sports and others that do DVDs of meetings. -
Hundreds? Its not an unreasonable request. Secretaries will do this at Schools, Colleges and Uni's for a variety of reasons if you ask for it. I asked for something similar for my daughter and it was done the same day. Won't help students for Mondays meeting unless they can get it the same day but at least its clarified.

The off track stuff gets to me but once I'm at a meeting it disappears. Unless we are losing to Poole and then I blame it all on them
-
That cant be entirely true as bet 365 streamed meetings in 2014.
-
We probably did. The draft was completed before he signed an EL deal.

It makes no sense. The video I seen yesterday the track looked in good condition considering it had apparently rained. -

52-38, Leicester's reserves to keep it close ish. -
I think if they have several reports of this happening from fans then I think they have to act, hopefully they have a solution for Monday as its a great offer that should still be encouraged. I've certainly noticed more children in attendance, both home matches this season my daughter has bought a friend along.
-
There wouldn't be a comparison to last season as OAPs and students went in same turnstile and pricing is obviously different but they could easily compared the % of the crowd that paid a student rate for the first and second meeting. We were told on here what people were doing to get cheaper admission and if they have proof of that then they are right to do something about it. We'd all do the same if it was our business. As I said in my previous post, they could've just kept quiet and found a solution before Monday. Its a bit of a PR disaster all round but its also a shame that some so called fans have (at the minute) ruined it for people who need it most.
-
It's a strange one, he should really be averaging 8 like Garrity in the PL.
-
Fully agree with that and people on here and the Facebook page have suggested solutions which although won't eradicate it entirely but will certainly stop level of people getting in for a rate for which they really shouldn't. I like the way Peterborough United Football club do their tickets pricing with an U18 price and then a price for 18-21. Only a passport would then be needed to prove your age. Im sure this is the age group the promotion were trying to entice when thinking about the student rate, just don't call it a students price, call it young adult.

Think you will find Garrity didnt come cheap with other clubs wanting him in a 2nd string role. Thats why he didn't want to be in the draft. The problem was the draft picks, if we didn't sign Garrity as a 2nd string someone else would have. Its that simple.

Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 6/4/16
Woz01 replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is that a euphemism? -
This is the rut I'm in. The only chance I will get to buy is when my kids are grown up, I should have much more disposable income to save and buy plus it wont need to be a 3 bed house.
-
Lets face it Garrity and Newman shouldn't be near the draft they've been head and shoulders above anyone else for two seasons in that role. What makes it worse is that Newman is only 6th on the draft list, thats just bonkers. You have to wonder what the others promoters think about during the AGM, the Poole promotion must literally wet themselves that things get voted for when it obviously helps them but hinders the rest. The season is virtually a right off for most of the clubs because they are so inept at AGM time.
-
I'm sure the person whom posted the links may help with that, it was posted earlier in the thread. It was certainly an education for me to be honest as I originally thought the same as most.
-
To be fair its you who is pretty blinkered as its widely reported from the IFS and ONS that as a group OAPs have as much disposable income than working people these days and will overtake workers in that regard in future. Just shows how difficult it is for workers at this moment in time hey?
-
To be fair I can see what he's saying ie Buzskowski not on heat leader list and the reserves averages but that's the fault of the majority of promoters voting it in and not Poole. Certainly the ones that have left the sport would've challenged some of the things that were agreed. No idea why they agreed to it as its certainly not help them individually or EL as a competitive league.
-
Didn't see any of these complain when adults and child prices increased last year and the year before that. No one has yet given me a valid explanation as to why OAPs shouldn't pay the same as everyone else? Going to speedway is a choice not a necessity like OAPs getting discounts for public transport, medication, gas etc. When I retire I certainly wouldn't expect any special discounts to something I choose to go to. Excellent post. I'd also suggest showing planning officials that a younger generation is attending may help the new stadium situation. Just a thought.
