Well I know several people that have given up on going regularly over the last few years, some even family members. Mainly because of the 2010/2011 off season and things that have happens since. I have a fair few followers on twitter who have also stopped attending more recently.
You do realise it was upto Garrity? They tried to persuade him but when more than one club wants him it was impossible to change his mind. All about the £££
Today Coventry postponed their meeting just before 4pm after it started raining at 3.15ish, 3and a half hours before start time. Robert Lambert wasn't happy it wasn't called off earlier but track was fit to ride until the rain came. What if they cancelled it at lunchtime and the rain didn't come? A no win situation for the promotion.
I think they will give it time to see if the forecast changes but if it doesn't then they will make a decision. Heavy rain from 8pm light rain from 5pm. Looks highly unlikely to go ahead let alone getting to ten heats.
They should really enforce that criteria for the next meeting to be honest.
Coventry got the ELRC because its the last season at Brandon but also the track surface improved immensely last season. Of course it probably has the best facilities in the country apart from BV.
Its almost as if Walasek was trying to drop his average! I'd have had him at Coventry this season, didn't have a poor meeting there last season but he certainly wasn't putting the effort in at the meeting at Brandon this season
No and the way the forecast is today I don't think they have much choice but to wait and see. Even the rain at 6 is supposedly light, if it was due to absolutely hammer it down then possibly you could argue for an earlier postponement. I always say postpone when the track isnt rideable and not before but I'm not the one paying wages etc.
Its a match we really should win, our reserves should have the beating of Kings Lynn's around Brandon. The weather looks all good tomorrow till about 6pm then constant rain forecast.
