  1. Palm-Toft has also said the track looked fine. It sounds like it deceived everyone, I think the 2 captains should be able to do a few laps each pre meeting to judge the track.
  2. Seen a picture and it did look misty, people there say track looked ok. With it being misty, drizzling and an ambulance in use which would mean a big delay I guess at that point there was zero chance of getting to heat 10. Rosco tweeted no one was forced to ride.
  3. Obviously others riders didn't agree otherwise it wouldn't have started.
  4. It's not like they have many heats to choose from so far this season.
  5. Schlein lives in Coventry he might have made it, I guess BV knew in plenty of time but asked Batch.
  6. Harris points included a joker ride and if Worrall didn't touch the tapes in his opening ride he would've likely been top scorer. Worrall also rode pretty well in the World Games im Wroclaw beating some decent riders. I think it's a huge blow for GB (and BV) that he is now injured.
  7. Very positve comments from fans that went to the meeting. Hopefully better weather next Sunday and a few more pop along, Eastbourne will be a much sterner test.
  8. I assume taking on the stadium will include taking on the rights for the speedway and Stox promotion.
  9. Let's face facts, most of the assets would be retired by the time we get back to Coventry (if it happens at all).
  10. Yep probably on par with What Mick Horton said was break even, you can add a few more to that when weather improves. Decent meeting despite the conditions, if it was a premiership meeting I doubt it wouldve got that far. Fair play to all the riders for keeping it going.
  11. Forecast for Sunday has improved in the last 24 hours. Hopefully stays dry!
  12. Cook has performed well elsewhere in Europe hence his qualification in the GPs but he does seems to be struggling to crack Poland.
  13. Think 300 is attainable for most fixtures plus no doubt an increase in attendance when Cradley and Birmingham visit will certainly help.
  14. I'm expecting Bees to be back to full strength with Connor Mountain and Luke Ruddick in the side after both missed the away trip to Belle Vue. What your expectations Stoke fans? Bees have to win these meetings if they are to stand any chance although at this stage there isn't any 'home' advantage. The most interesting thing about this meeting could be what sort of crowd will turn up? How many Bees fans, Leicester fans and neutrals will come along? 300-350 Is around the breakeven figure.
  15. If Tai continues his stance then it shows to me exactly why he shouldn't have anything to do with running Team GB. He wanted a more professional outlook and it seems we will get that. Hopefully he will now come back and see first hand what this new group of people have up their sleeve. I'd hope they've already reached out to him.
  16. Davey 8.61 Cupitt 4.00 Bickley 6.67 Phillips 6.25 Jenkins 7.18 Kemp 3.00 Edwards 3.00
  17. Bickley stopped because he made a mistake.
  18. It had the least wins and 2nds and most lasts. The line up in 14 is no way comparable to line up in 13 and 15.
  19. Bees just ran out of steam. Danny Phillips rode well until his final two rides where he was stuck out in gate 4, Halder also did well. Armstrong twice had bikes problems last lap while in the points, the final result should've really been a little closer. It was interesting to see how involved Mick Horton was, he was certainly passionate when Armstrong bike went first time round. We will do ok this season, no doubts about that. Belle Vue will get tonnes of race wins from there top 3 at the NSS and if they get regular back up like yesterday they won't lose many there.
  20. I might be on my own!. I went on the new look Belle Vue website and it says the South Stand isn't open for NL meetings yet the ticket I've booked is for that stand, bizarre.
  21. The weather put me and my family off attending, sounds like they did well getting it on. Predicted 52-38 so pretty much spot on, some concerns but I guess for some of the bees riders they've had little or no track time. Harris for example tried a new frame which he didn't get to terms with so switched bikes and won his final heat. Halder score was very good.
  22. To be fair I predicted we would lose 52-38 v Birmingham so that was pretty much spot on, not many will get close to them at Perry Barr. Dry day tomorrow up in Manchester, all set for a decent meeting. We need a guest for Connor Mountain, he's riding for Ipswich tomorrow.
