Yep that's what I did probably was £76. Good value.

Good news if it happens.

Friday night traffic seems to be the main issue. They want to run weekends and can't really do that at EL level

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season
Woz01 replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I guess with no EL for Lakeside that Jonsson and Kim Nilsson will be sought after. -
Bit of a shock. Looks all OK for some form of speedway next year though.
-
To be honest Kings average isn't that attractive but with decent heat leaders probably in short supply it would likely be a mistake to let him go.
-
Although just a rumour I was told last week that Bomber may be at Poole in 2017. Surprised at this rumour about King though.
-
To be honest I've never had an employer who pays fully for Christmas night out. My missus ex employer didn't even let partners attend! Anyway. AGM starts tomorrow. Hopefully in a few days we can actually talk speedway/signings etc.
-
Horton wouldn't have made any money from it in fact I know it's £50 per person for these nights at the Holiday Inn.
-
I was invited to a works awards night for long service but I had to pay for my partner for her to attend. The company I work for earn millions per year in the UK alone. Even the Christmas party this year I have to pay for myself if I wanted to go, incidentally at the same place as the Dinner and dance was. Spot on

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season

They are certainly not popular riders but clubs would be mad to not consider Bjerre, Batchelor and Watt on their low average. -

Quite surprised at that!

Was also on Coventry Bees Speedway fans Facebook page. No rumours or news from the Dinner and dance night?
-
Really? I hear Kings Lynn are the same. Considering Bombers excuse was that others would miss it too AND others clubs don't have the same policy just shows how immature and unnecessary is actions are. Some don't even bother to have one! As most people know I'm a huge bomber fan but this is just awful/immature/unnecessary
-
Just their partners. The deal was different this year to make more cheaper for fans to attend. Previously it was I think £55 and it was just a meal, this year was £45 with a meal and free drinks from 8pm. The way I see it is most rider and partner would have spent a large amount in previous events (was at Hilton so bar prices expensive) so this year it was probably cheaper for most riders considering the free bar. The thing that bugs me it was suggested that other riders would miss it too but that was obviously a lie and they all made the effort. If it was that much of an issue for Bomber then go alone surely?
-
All were there apart from Bomber. Poor show from him considering 2 came from Poland yet Bomber lives one junction away and didn't show.
-
The dinner and dance is tonight I bet there will be rumours flying around.
-
Would not be surprised in the slightest if Bomber was at Poole next year.
-
Bomber has to be more attractive to clubs on that average.

Coventry announced a year or two back that they were going into partnership with Wasps. I said it was an excellent idea as Wasps have made a huge success in moving to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Since then we have heard literally nothing about it. Shame because Coventry Blaze (Ice Hockey) seem to have a decent partnership with Wasps.

Wildcards 2017.....
Woz01 replied to Panthers89's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Emil was injured for the qualifiers. -
To be fair we've always signed who were at the time 'number ones' on a lower average which gave us points to play with. Certainly wouldn't say no to AJ for 2017!

I'm surprised Coventry Storm didn't fold half way through the season so the news of the meetings not being run came as no surprise. Coventry Speedway must've lost quite a bit of money running the Storm this year.
