  1. The ride Sundays but occasionally on Fridays. To be honest I would be shocked if Kings Lynn don't want him on that average. Bates is a Sheffield asset and I think L. Bjerre is a Peterborough asset so Sheffield will get priority.
  2. If we go down the Kerr/Sarj/Bates route as bottom 3 at least we will always pick up points from 1-7. It may not be a spectacular side but it will have a solid look with no weak links as such. It will probably look better when all the other sides are named.
  3. I don't think it would be terrible either but Sarj on that average is a huge risk for me after last season for Coventry. The other 6 I'd be happy enough with. I would prefer another heat leader instead though.
  4. When the rules were announced and I looked at the PL averages I was shocked he was that low. Coventry should see the benefit on that average.
  5. King was 8th in the EL averages last season probably upto 5th for 2017 considering some will not be in Britain in 2017. That makes him a number one especially with the league being weaker. Kylmakorpi and Bjerre would be terrific back up, both can push him for the number 1 spot.
  6. Agree, it can still be messed up. Hopefully Schlein will be announced next. Horton did say Kylmakorpi was one of his favourite riders so.......
  7. 3 out of the 4 (King probably drop a little) can improve their starting average, not many sides will have 3 from 7.
  8. Lasse Bjerre another decent signing on that average. Just hope it's not ruined by sentimentality in signing Sarj on that over inflated average.
  9. His average would mean he would be a 2nd string. Hansen average is probably a little too high to sign Another great signing on that average. That's two who can increase their average, a big bonus.
  10. I assume they are allowed to keep assets that were signed before the ruling was made.
  11. There was only a .5 difference between KK home and away average in 2016.
  12. The clubs won't average 50 points between the 9 of them either so don't see the issue of having riders over 12.
  13. You can. Riders can only have their averages recalculated if they've missed 3 years, Tai only missed 2. His average was what he gained fairly in 2014, it was low but it was a genuine average. Lindback was given an average based on what exactly? It wasnt because he was 8th in the World ( ahead of Zagar and Iversen at the time) or how he was performing in other leagues at the time but the 7 was given based on an average he got during a season NINE years ago! It's supposed to be based on what they can do NOW not 9 years ago.
  14. If the majority of clubs sign 2 pointers then it's a fair enough signing but I can see a few clubs having stronger number 7s which will see Shanes struggle.
  15. That side would probably be the favourites. We can hope.
  16. We can have Garrity in the side long as the 4th rider is someone who can challenge to be a heat leader like Schelin. With Sarjeant I agree his average is just too high when you look at other riders on a similar average.
  17. Yep, he's even got a wildcard into the Longtrack GP series! Might miss a meeting or two for Rye House though.
  18. Didn't say it'll only be them 2 either challenging. He not likely to say King, Bjerre and Fricke (for example) will challenge for the number one spot when no other signings have been announced as of yet.
  19. I'd suggest it was more that Jim Lynch is now our manager although the new sponsorship deal may have helped.
  20. Some great promotion work being done for Coventry Speedway at Motorcycle live. Kenneth Hansen is there Tuesday.....
  21. Yet he was run off away from being a GP rider in 2017.
  22. I'd say Jim Lynch being Bees manager was a factor in Bjerre joining Coventry.
