  1. Don't forget Coventry have to face Buxton home and away in the League yet. Get them meetings arranged (and win them) plus win both home meetings in the double header this Sunday (Birmingham and Stoke) Coventry can take over Kent let alone Birmingham.
  2. Coventry 1. Mountain 2. Phillips 3. Ruddick 4. Halder 5. Armstrong 6. MacDonald 7. Harris Plymouth 1. Perks 2. Terry-Daley 3. Webster R/R 4. Andrews 5. Atkins 6. Sheppard 7. Dugard Should be comfortable enough for the Bees in this one and keep their play off hopes alive.
  3. Would a play off meeting get a bigger crowd? Not sure he would be running double headers if that was his mindset.
  4. Was fairly confident we could get close but was not convinced we could actually win it. Walker injury was obviously key. Just hope we can get our fixtures in because we have a chance of making those play offs.
  5. Highlighted this earlier in the season, he often changes the line up after looking at the opposition.
  6. I think this will be fairly close and hopefully Bees can take at least a league point.
  7. Unfortunately the forecast put me off travelling from Coventry up to Manchester. However we will be going to Wolves for the return meeting, my first premiership meeting of the season!
  8. We have about 4 meetings to fit in. Will need double headers for sure.
  9. Just a heads up that the meeting will now run on the 30th as the NL cut off point is on the 23rd which was the the original date.
  10. Unfortunately not, i have no way of getting there this weekend. Still think its Bees to lose, Harris should score very well at reserve.
  11. Very frustrating. No meeting in 6 weeks and the next one scheduled is 3 weeks away!
  12. Both sides will be at full strength for the two weekend meetings.
  13. Should be a comfortable home win but can see Andersen and Nicholls scoring well which might keep it closer than some expect.
  14. I believe it is. They can do some track work once the meeting finishes and get a load of water down later than if it was 3pm. There seemed to be an issue about the later start time for some reason and there were doubts about the meeting going ahead but Coventry confirms it will be on and at 6pm.
  15. No reason given but I doubt it was Coventrys choice to change the time.
  16. Hopefully next year there will be a few more up and down the country. Can't make this one but it's certainly a step in the right direction.
  17. I know it's only NL but Connor Mountain got a 15pt maximum for Coventry at Monmore Green earlier in the season. Will be tough but it would not surprise me if he manages a few points.
  18. Pretty much the same for us I think. He has improved his average by a point so he's doing his job for us.
  19. I guess postponing two fixtures gets people thinking and putting their theories online but the two postponments have been explained, one was so Leicester could prepare of the televised meeting and the 2nd is the same time as the World Cup Final. I'd be worried if they next one is postponed unless of weather.
  20. I'm glad you've responded about the campaign and clarified the group's position on Bees at Leicester. You shouldn't have to defend yourself. Keep it going Jeff, Dave and all.
  21. Simply because if we had a track in Coventry we'd still be Coventry Bees. I don't see why if we race elsewhere temporarily we should change our name. The move to Leicester is a short term move not full time. If it was full time then that's a different situation. The Save Coventry Speedway group number one priority is saving the stadium and if not ensure another site is put in its place. We need a stadium in or close to Coventry, otherwise (long term) we won't have a club anyway. It would be nice if the promotion and group were on the same page so we could have a half successful NL club while fighting for the stadium but that won't happen. Also just to be aware that there is likely to be added protection on the stadium as advised by the government planning officer overseeing the local plan.
  22. Of course its Coventry Bees. It's not where we want to be (League and track) and its far from ideal but for me I'll follow the team through thick and thin. If other don't want to call the club Coventry Bees anymore that's upto them but I cannot agree with that. The track day on Saturday has also called off to allow sky set up for Monday's meeting. Bees v Buxton the following Sunday also call off as the World Cup Final is at 4pm the same day.
  23. Unfortunately this is what happens when you don't own your own stadium. The 4s wasn't a Bees promotion meeting was it? Electrical work was the reason for the Buxton call off but no idea about this Sunday? Maybe the Monday tv fixture had something to do with it?
  24. Whatever standard of rider we have in UK it doesn't matter until the sport is promoted far better than it is now and with new ideas. The sport is so lacking in that respect, it has no chance unless that part of it improves significantly.
  25. Now we are likely to have greater protection over Brandon a new site might need to be available for us to use if houses on Brandon is ever granted. Also BE would likely have to pay for at least part of it, maybe even all. Might not be worth it for them when they've had bids of several million pounds from people wanting to keep it as a motorsport venue.
