Changes are made at Championship level all the time so I'd be surprised if James doesn't get a spot at some point. Gives him an incentive to have a good start to the season.
-
To be fair I can't make my mind up on this Wolves side, reserves weak but good heatleaders. Much depends on Skornicki and Howarth, they've definitely gambled on Skornicki when they could've played it safe.
-
I think the local plan is longer than that. I'm quite sure Cllr Stokes has said the initial plans from Brandon Estates would fail any application due to planning laws.
-
Bad blood yet Sandhu managed to convince Brandon Estates to sponsor Coventry Bees.
-
This is why I have had this feeling that Sandhu was always wanted to take 'his' stuff out. Makes no sense for him not to negotiate a new lease unless he really did want out anyway.
-
Think he was implying that there would be zero chance of speedway next season without Horton taking on the lease. Same for Stox, without Horton going out and getting the lease there would be no chance of stox either as Sandhu had no interest in being leaseholder.
-
I think people are being highly trusting in what Sandhu and Heaver have said. They had zero interest in having the lease themselves, why? Why say they will pay for virtually everything and not be the leaseholder? They also said Horton had no intention of taking on the lease then a few hours later 'agreed' a deal. Why would he put all his stuff back into the stadium if he isn't leaseholder? Are the fixture and fittings actually his? Why cause that much damage removing items? They all need to answer questions about what has/is going on. Sandhu maybe our best hope but surely he needs questioning just as much (I'd say more so considering damage caused) as anyone else For what it's worth i don't trust any of the parties involved.

The story about it costing £1million is just scaremongering from Brandon Estates. Sandhu has most of the equipment he took in storage (shale included) so the prices banded about is no way near correct. The cutting in half of the floodlight pylons is just pure vandalism.

Some people seem to suggest the local papers are a bit behind and there is work (well welding anyway) going on there today. I know there are contractors ready to start in the new year. No statement from anyone confirming anything though so it's a case of what and see on that!
-
Awful to see.
-
Good sign whatever the issue was.

Website still has April's news on it. People who know more than me about websites think it's just an error on the system because it would be easier to delete the whole site instead of just a small section plus it's bizarre to delete up to a certain point. Having said that it should've been sorted asap.
-
I think this is pretty much spot on.
-
If Sandhu agreed to having a metre less on his planning application a few years back then we would probably have a superb facility at Brandon by now.
-
Kings Lynn title challengers for me.
-
I think Mick is stuck in the middle, he probably wants to sign the agreement with Sandhu but then the stadium owner is getting the police involved making it all very difficult. Sandhu for whatever reason didn't seem to even contemplate extending his lease. Bizarre considering he claims he's paying for pretty much everything anyway. They best solution would be Sandhu as leaseholder.

Sandhu has contractors ready to start in January, if they are allowed in. We are hoping work would've started by the time the meeting comes around! They started to arrange this meeting before the latest developments. We usually get Mick Horton and Cllr Stokes attending but we never get Sandhu or Heaver attending instead they usually give us a pre prepared statement. Brandon Estates need to be there also. If I remember rightly she was hoping to hire a room where she could sell all the left over stock.
-
Save Coventry Speedway group are hoping to hold a public meeting in January with all sides invited to tell us what's the way forward and what plans (if any) are in place to get the stadium ready for the season start. It would be nice if ALL sides attended if the meeting happens.
-
Seem like a technical fault to be honest as the latest news is April 2016. I'd be worried if the site was shut down.
-
Horton does have take some blame but where we are at present is that the stadium is not fit to run motorsport, there is only one person that's done that. It's the damage more than anything else that gets to me. Yes take your stuff but don't smash windows, break doors, rip wiring and damaged ceilings. That's just petty.
-
I guess they are both keen on running Friday nights so with the top level now having more meetings it might be a struggle to fit a full NL season in.
-
From what I've been told electricians were in last week to make the site safe and are back in January to start work. I understand they will sort it easily within the time frame.
-
I guess it'll be one team and half the home fixtures will be at Belle Vue and the other Brandon. With more home fixtures in the top division it would be difficult to fit NL fixtures aswell. Not sure it'll work but at least there is more team spaces for that level.
-
We will share fixtures with Belle Vue in the National League. Assuming we run of course

Brandon estates have said the only way speedway and Stox WON'T run is if the assets taken are not reinstalled. This is from Cov observer journalist on twitter. There is an agreement with Horton but not signed yet probably due to police involvement. I hope if a 3 year deal is signed by all parties then we will get a break from all that. We can't keep going year on year like this.
