  1. Website still has April's news on it. People who know more than me about websites think it's just an error on the system because it would be easier to delete the whole site instead of just a small section plus it's bizarre to delete up to a certain point. Having said that it should've been sorted asap.
  2. If Sandhu agreed to having a metre less on his planning application a few years back then we would probably have a superb facility at Brandon by now.
  3. I think Mick is stuck in the middle, he probably wants to sign the agreement with Sandhu but then the stadium owner is getting the police involved making it all very difficult. Sandhu for whatever reason didn't seem to even contemplate extending his lease. Bizarre considering he claims he's paying for pretty much everything anyway. They best solution would be Sandhu as leaseholder.
  4. Sandhu has contractors ready to start in January, if they are allowed in. We are hoping work would've started by the time the meeting comes around! They started to arrange this meeting before the latest developments. We usually get Mick Horton and Cllr Stokes attending but we never get Sandhu or Heaver attending instead they usually give us a pre prepared statement. Brandon Estates need to be there also. If I remember rightly she was hoping to hire a room where she could sell all the left over stock.
  5. Save Coventry Speedway group are hoping to hold a public meeting in January with all sides invited to tell us what's the way forward and what plans (if any) are in place to get the stadium ready for the season start. It would be nice if ALL sides attended if the meeting happens.
  6. Seem like a technical fault to be honest as the latest news is April 2016. I'd be worried if the site was shut down.
  7. Horton does have take some blame but where we are at present is that the stadium is not fit to run motorsport, there is only one person that's done that. It's the damage more than anything else that gets to me. Yes take your stuff but don't smash windows, break doors, rip wiring and damaged ceilings. That's just petty.
  8. I guess they are both keen on running Friday nights so with the top level now having more meetings it might be a struggle to fit a full NL season in.
  9. From what I've been told electricians were in last week to make the site safe and are back in January to start work. I understand they will sort it easily within the time frame.
  10. I guess it'll be one team and half the home fixtures will be at Belle Vue and the other Brandon. With more home fixtures in the top division it would be difficult to fit NL fixtures aswell. Not sure it'll work but at least there is more team spaces for that level.
  11. We will share fixtures with Belle Vue in the National League. Assuming we run of course
  12. Brandon estates have said the only way speedway and Stox WON'T run is if the assets taken are not reinstalled. This is from Cov observer journalist on twitter. There is an agreement with Horton but not signed yet probably due to police involvement. I hope if a 3 year deal is signed by all parties then we will get a break from all that. We can't keep going year on year like this.
  13. I really don't think my Brandon Estates getting the police involved has anything to do with Horton. The electrics at the stadium had to be made safe as it was in a right state. Not sure who hired the elctricians but I guess Brandon Estates would've been liable had a trespasser got injured from the site being unsafe for whatever reason.
  14. Fans are getting sick of the are we/are we not riding debate week after week. Just give us a decision one way or another so we can can either get ready to support the team or move on. It's very tedious now.
  15. I don't trust either to be honest. It's probably had the opposite effect, can't see Sandhu being willing spending the money if the police are in fact involved.
  16. I agree they could easily wait for a month and see if things are replaced but Of course there could be other areas of the stadium that are also damaged/taken which doesn't belong to Sandhu. I'm struggling to see how this situation now regarding Brandon Estates involving the police (if true) is Hortons fault? Brandon Estates wouldn't want him signing a deal with Sandhu if they have concerns over the state of the site. They all need their heads banging together. Also pretty much confirms Sandhu isn't part of Brandon Estates unless it's an elaborate plan!
  17. Brandon estates have confirmed the lease has been signed by Horton. I get the impression Horton has been told by Brandon Estates to hold off signing the deal with Sandhu as they wanted to inspect the site to see what state it is in. Now they seem to be getting the police involved I severely doubt any deal will be signed with Sandhu and that will unfortunately mean no motor racing at Brandon.
  18. It would go to the lease holders and to the catering firm that supplies the food and beverages. The council may indeed own the actual site but as they are not running the facility they won't get the money that comes from events there.
  19. I really don't think he would've missed the GP practice when he was a wild card to ride for Coventry if he wasn't being paid !
  20. That's exactly as it was left when the deal was done. Weve had no pictures for 10 days then someone comes along with a 5 second video saying stuff is still being taken yet no workmen, diggers or anything being on site. Its just scaremongering from that individual. I went in the week and it was exactly the same. Nothing has been taken from the site and all the other floodlights pylons are still up apart from 3 which were next to where they should be on the 3-4 bend. Electricians have been in and made the site safe that's it. I believe the electricians have a contract there till March.
  21. They did say the previous day that there would not be a statement as the clubs position has never changed and that they were always intending to run. I agree that a short statement saying glad it's all been sorted should have been released.
