The problem is we have no guarantee that Brandon will ever be ready. It can be dangerous having to catch up on fixtures especially with our weather!
That was last week. Buster might not be the owner quite soon. He said himself he was looking to move the club to someone else.
I don't think anyone thought it was completely off the table especially with certain rumours around, just that it would wouldn't work. It might actually work short term though. You might find Leicester have a new promoter/owner soon.
I've been told Horton was on CWR around 1pm and said Coventry Bees will start the season at Leicester but will go to Brandon if/When situation is resolved. Any one else hear it?
"We are looking at more information passed to us and will update further when we can" Speedway GB twitter.
I'd put a bet on Sandhu (or his family) being Brandon Estates. As for planning permission they have next to no chance for the foreseeable future.
On someone's Facebook post Jeremy Heaver said that it's Brandon Estates causing the issues not Horton or Stox. Brandon Estates won't give Sandhu a lease I wonder why?
Yes but the core fans base would all have to do it, not going to happen. Even more so if there is no future beyond that. I would for one season also but most won't/cant. It's not even necessarily about wanting to its about whether it's possible for many.
Anyway it doesn't matter the riders that Horton signed will ride for Leicester.
If it's someone new taking over at Coventry then it needs to be ratified by the bspa committee.
I live pretty close to the M69 junction and it would take me 30 minutes without traffic to get to Leicester. Now someone on the opposite side of the city you can add 20-30 mins to that.
The riders signed by Horton to ride for Coventry have the opportunity to ride FOR Leicester instead if they wish. There is no Coventry moving to Leicester, yet.
There is still things going on behind the scenes. I think Leicester Lions will be Leicester Lions but wouldn't be surprised if a few of the Bees 1-7 will be lining up for them.
