  1. Yes at least a link. The person listed as having significant control of Investin brandon is a John Downer who is also CEO of Investin PLC based at the exact same address as Brandon Estates (jersey). Of course Brandon Estates (jersey) used to be called Investin Brandon (jersey). Investin PLC actually have developments in Coventry and Rugby. You have to ask why he wouldn't budge on the size of it. A metre difference would have got permission.
  2. I would suggest that what happened in 2010-2011 has nothing to with the situation we are in now. The bank sold Brandon not Sandhu to pay off loan debts.
  3. Challenge meetings are done quite often where the hosting team pays both sets of riders. Add to that individual events where the hosting club will pay for all riders competing.
  4. Think it would need Hortons permission to be called Coventry Bees in these meetings but don't see why not.
  5. Keeping the name going I suppose. Could be quite important if Brandon Estates put in a planning application.
  6. Apparently it was just about the Peterborough fixture. It seems we may do some challenge matches during the season.
  7. Yep it could be a number of things. I didn't listen but it seems it wasn't even mentioned.
  8. Coventry Observer are a free weekly newspaper. Think it comes out every midweek Touch FM have an update on the Bees at 8am.
  9. There are confidentiality agreements at this moment. At this moment I'd take a track in a field
  10. This came from Jeremy Heaver and you believe it? Tell me then if Sandhu was allowed to run stox why didn't he just extend the lease instead of getting Horton to do it? Why get someone else to do it but still pay for everything? Why was Sandhu adamant that 2016 would be the last? All parties have pretty much said there is an issue between Sandhu and Brandon Estates yet some still seem to dismiss it. If there was no issue then stadium would be all ready to race wouldn't it? Sandhu wouldve negotiated his own lease with them and he wouldn't need to cancel 2 stox fixtures. Maybe one day Sandhu and Brandon Estates can turn things around and sort it but it's highly unlikely.
  11. Of course he does but he's not allowed to say! Same as Cllr Stokes who said it will come out eventually.
  12. No I don't have trust in Horton either but I was talking about the stadium issue. It's quite common knowledge that Brandon Estates don't want Sandhu operating at Brandon. I have no issue with Sandhu taking his stuff I'd have done the same in his situation with what I hear now. The problem is Horton had to get the lease as Brandon Estates wouldn't let Sandhu extending his, Sandhu extending would've made more sense don't you think? Horton needed Sandhu (money and equipment) which Sandhu was prepared to do but Brandon Estates continually blocked it. It was virtually game over once Brandon Estates got the police involved. I don't think the situation would be any different if the stadium was fit and ready to go. Cllr Stokes statement is probably the only one any of us can really trust
  13. Brandon Estates didn't want Sandhu to operate at Brandon not Horton. Horton wasn't prepared to sign the lease until Sandhu was allowed to run his stox as he needed his money. Even if Horton did sign the lease Sandhu would've took his stuff anyway because he wasn't allowed to operate at Brandon Stadium. Why do you think Horton had to get a new lease instead of Sandhu extending his?
  14. Technically we could just set up a new club. The issue is a stadium obviously but I think there is plenty more to come regarding the ownership of the stadium. I do wonder if they just want out as Horton now does.
  15. It's been suggested that he relayed the bspa statement to the riders but that's it nothing from the club to the riders. Poor.
  16. Although having said this we were told by Jeremy Heaver that sports have tens of years left at Brandon and even in 2013 it was announced we had a 10 year lease.
  17. We have/had many assets which is probably why it was that much. Although I have to say with the precarious position the club was in regarding the stadium I'm astounded someone took it on.
  18. Who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if Stox ran at Brandon at some point this year.
  19. I think getting rid of Horton was part of the plan.
  20. Well this is the sticking point but we as fans have to make it difficult as possible for the site owners. If rumours are correct that they are willing to sell it shows that it's already working.
  21. I would certainly trust Colin Pratt. Riders are bound to trust Sandhu because let's be honest when he owned us he was damn good at it. Since he sold the club and stadium I'm not sure he has the same motivation for speedway as he did then. I'm willing to be convinced that he still cares though as I do believe IF his intentions are actually good then the club can still come back and thrive. Some think that some of this was about getting rid of Horton I'm starting to think that's a possibility As for the campaign I absolutely back this, the journalist who started this is a Bees fan so you know his intentions are good. We should also back Jeff Davies and Dave Rowe who are trying to help us to run in 2018
  22. It's true it cost him that to buy the club, well that was the figure I heard at the time. Some other parts of the statement were utter rubbish though like telling riders etc.
