He's open to offers for COVENTRY or even just some help but he believes Coventry need to keep on racing. He's come out and asked for sponsorship for next year, although I think it's unlikely we will run it doesn't sound like he's finished with the club unless someone else wants to take it on. I really don't see how he'll have the funds to buy Peterborough outright. If he did however could he run a NL side at Peterborough as well as the Panthers? He'll have a spare club laying around.

Kings Lynn v Poole Playoff Final 2nd leg 10/10/18
Woz01 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Do you know whats funny if all this was the opposite way around and KL was slightly over the limit Poole fans would be arguing it and then others defend it. For me if Kings Lynn agreed to it then I have no problem it's not like it's hurting any other clubs. Also KL didn't do anything wrong booking Ellis for the 1st leg, KL fans would be up in arms if the promotion didnt get the best rider available. It the rules that are wrong. -
That deal was dependant on Stox and also Stadium owners sponsorship. No Stox meant no lease. I'm sure enough funds wouldve been available to run a team but Brandon needs Stox to be viable.
-
No so sure Mick has funds for that.

Kings Lynn v Poole Playoff Final 2nd leg 10/10/18

Kings Lynn can still win this but might need the luck Poole had in the 1st leg. -
It's the play off meeting that they are looking at to be the Wednesday but with some riders having work commitments plus living up North, Coventry are unlikely to be full strength if it happens on that date.
-
Depends how the bike got on and off the infield. Technically if he rode the bike on or off the infield it's an offence but not sure anyone wants to see exclusions for that. In the photo Worrall and the bike are not on track so again technically he can't be at the starting gate, however I'd be livid if a ref excluded a rider from my team for that.
-
Doubt Coventry will be at full strength if that happens.
-
Dragons meeting is cancelled so we will be riding Sunday, hopefully. Eastbourne are looking at moving their Home KOC meeting to midweek to accommodate Coventry this Saturday
-
Probably this takes priority although there has been two differing meetings on one day before. Their website does state that their meeting is 12-4 So we shall see what they have planned.
-
Well we can put conspiracy theories to bed, home meeting rearranged for this Sunday at Leicester (3pm).
-
Do they? At Brandon the track barely recovered if they had a Speedway meeting Monday after Stox on a Saturday. As I said I've seen pictures of the track from late afternoon Saturday and it wasn't in great shape, letting anything ride on the track wouldve made it worse. I'm not giving them excuses as I think they should be able to get it ready considering weather we had after the downfall but running an event in those conditions doesn't help and wouldve required extra work.
-
I don't if it's true but it seems there was a ride and slide event on Saturday. If that was ran in those conditions then the track was probably in an awful condition after that.
-
Track was deemed unfit after an inspection but that was 9am.
-
I've been told there was a ride and slide day on yesterday and photos I've seen from the track yesterday shows puddles on track but also cones dotted around. If it ran in those conditions it may be the reason why.
-
I booked today off work to attend.
-
Today's meeting is OFF.
-
Always going to be called off. So todays meeting is now the first leg. I've seen pictures of Leicesters track from early evening yesterday, there were puddles on the bends but was being swept away into the drains. Had virtually no rain in the area since mid afternoon yesterday so it should be all good to go for 4pm.
-
I see the forecast for Saturday isn't great and with Eastbourne facing Mildenhall on the 13th i guess our rearrange date will be the 20th?
-
If they do then obviously it would be a struggle for us. They could run Coventry ..
-
Everyone can have their opinions on the track shape etc but the track prep hasn't been as good in the 2nd half of the season. Yes in the first half if the season it was very dry at times (hot weather didn't help) but it seemed more smooth. Now the track especially 3rd-4th bends have bumps and ruts sending riders towards the fence at times. Work needed on it this week and during the winter for sure.
-
Possibly but I wouldn't rule out us running next season yet.
