  1. Season ticket holders get no discount in the price of a season ticket? Why buy one?
  2. When I've seen his scores they seem to be always awful this year
  3. I thought we had half a chance beating Australia at Kings Lynn with Lambert at 5. Ellis will get points if called upon but it's a big ask for him to beat the Australians.
  4. The stadiums capacity was reduced to 5,500 people in 2008 due to safety reasons. That's on Poole Pirates Wikipedia page but then again Wikipedia had Brandon capacity wrong
  5. He wasn't fit for the British Final hence his poor score and pulling out of his last ride.
  6. Just about to say the same. Any rider shouldn't be able to pick and chose meetings for GB. If Tai wants to do the World Games then he needs to be available for the World Cup too.
  7. Tungate does well round the NSS doesn't he?
  8. No I don't blame them for calling it off but they've known the issue for the call off for a few weeks. Fans and the Save Cov Speedway group have worked hard in that time to get a team together and organise things so fans can attend. An earlier call off could've easily been done and saved these people the time and effort they've put in.
  9. I don't blame them for cancelling but it shouldve been much earlier, the issues that forced their hand were know a few weeks back. Fans have made an effort the last few weeks to help others get to Rye House.
  10. To be honest it's poor from Rye House, they've known this for a few weeks. It would've probably been at least a couple of hundred Bees fans to be honest.
  11. They've had plenty of time to get riders to fill the ones that now signed for Leicester but it is a difficult job with rider availability etc. It seems Bees had a 1-7 ready to race, a coach was organised to head down there too. They might have under estimated how many Bees fans would've travelled. Rory Schlein and Ben Barker were confirmed to 'guest' for Bees and Roynon was to be asked to ride for Sarj.
  12. Well it is keeping the Bees name alive (for now). It was obvious that riders would sign elsewhere and we would have riders riding that didn't originally sign at the start of the season. It was stated very early on that we will try to use riders who have a history with the Bees. I agree. If Brandon Estates are keen to get building done quickly then providing a new stadium will no doubt help the process, the council might even insist on it. The Save Cov Speedway group have already said they would support the application if it includes a new stadium. Unfortunately Brandon seems to be finished unless something miraculous happens.
  13. To be honest I put Richie in because of his experience at KL but I see his brother scored 10 from 4 for BV earlier in the season.
  14. As the reserve rule has changed it would be crazy not to have Lambert as reserve. For Kings Lynn I'd go for Cook Harris King R. Worrall Lambert
  15. The has been a lot of news reports of travellers in the Coventry area recently I expect it to be the same ones. Police are on site so we shouldn't see any damage or things taken. We had travellers on site at the start of last season too.
  16. Exactly this. For one it wasn't called Coventry Bees, we have missed a whole season of Speedway and it's only one team. I only attended a couple of Storm meetings a year but will attend far more often. Some major hurdles to be crossed before it's even a viable option.
  17. The thing is if we do ever get a green light on a new stadium or a long-ish lease at Brandon then that would become more valuable than it is now. Mick has nothing to lose really as it cant be worth much at the minute.
  18. It would certainly get more backing if someone else suggested the idea. If we are to run then I don't see why Save Cov Speedway can't run the club. Horton has said before he willing to be in the background and let someone else do it.
  19. Think it's vitally important we run next season whatever the division. I believe enough fans would support it as we are bloody missing it this season. If we can run it puts pressure on the council to put in place a replacement site in any planning acceptance. We don't run then it's closer to the end. The Save Cov Speedway group suggested Brandon Estates will soon put in a planning application.
  20. Garrity is a lot smoother than he used to be but he still has his moments.
  21. Seats are the least of our worries and anyway who is going to pay for it?
