I never understand people supporting another country, there was a few Brits with aussie flags last season at KL. I get wanting your club riders to do well in an event but to turn up with another countrys flag is bizarre.

The race off will be very competitive! Latvia has some very good up and coming riders.

Ryton is either Rugby or Warwick council. I know the airport a bit further along is under Warwick council.

Someone on twitter has said it is now dry there and forecast to stay dry till 8pm.

That area seems to be the favourite, read a couple of tweets saying Sisu are looking there.

Sisu have said in the Independant newspaper that they want the stadium to have commercial, retail and residential oppurtunities. Brandon looks even less likely if thats the case.

He has bought a new engine and tweeted the other day its far too quick for Belle Vue. His gating at Prague is vital its a bit gate and go but i do agree he needs a quicker engine and lets hope this new one does the job.

Sisu have already turned down Hoffmans offer to pay the rent for them and Sisu will decline all offers to teturn to the Ricoh. They want to backrupt the arena so they canget it on the cheap. Its just another obstacle they would have to get through before planning permussion was achieved though. I dont believe Sisu will want to buy land without being confident that they can build on it.

A post a couple if pages back suggested GB can win the race off. I have to say i agree. Australia without Holder makes them so much more weaker, Russia with Emil and possibly the Laguta brothers missing and Sweden with an injury crisis. Although we would like to see GB get through against the other nations at full strength i will certainly be happy to see us in the final. Game, set and match!

Its on the Coventry speedway fans facebook page. As i said nothing official but he is usually spot on. Didnt the commercial manager (?) of the stadium say something similar when the stadium first went on the market?

Its been said today that speedway will be safe at Brandon for ten years at least but obviously nothing official as of yet.

Restricted to 12,000 i believe but the planning permission would now consider access to the stadium which obviously wasnt a problem years ago. Edit: it might have been reduced to 8,000 a few years ago?

Tim Fisher who runs things for Sisu has said on the radio that the stadium will hold at least 15,000 to begin with and then expand. Surely rules out Brandon.

Only while they are in admin. The Ricoh offered a deal of 400k a year rent with a portion of matchday revenues so in real terms rent would really be around 200k. The original deal was £1.2 million with NO matchday revenue. Sisu DECLINED the offer. All they want to do us bankrupt ACL (Ricoh Owners) so they can get the arena cheap. Coventry City Council bailed out ACL giving them £14 mil to pay the mortgage off so not really sure what SISU are doing now.

Its true that the Ricoh will struggle without CCFC but the Ricoh hosts all sorts of other sports like Rugby, Tennis and Darts in the past. ACL who run the Ricoh have also claimed other sports clubs have expressed an interest in being tenents of the arena. Its not just the residents that will make this fail. The whole infrastructure around the area cannot support a football stadium especially one where they already claim they want it to hold 20,000 + eventually. Why do you think Sandhu has failed when wanting to improve Brandon?

Yes pretty much. They also have to show the Football League that they have a viable solution to return to Coventry within 3 years if they do move to Northampton. The planning and rebuilding of Brandon would take longer than that! They havent even got plans on what the stadium will look like yet!
