Just two bigger leagues next year is they way to go if possible. Face each side home and away once and have the KOC.
-
Its Robert Miskowiak.

Riding different nights though that could make a difference. If it is Ljung i might have Wolves down as favourites.
-
Peter Ljung?

A simple squad system would help reduce guests. 10 riders in a squad pick 7 riders who are available for the fixture and use a riders starting average to make up to the limit. Sometimes a team may be weaker but at least its riders contracted to that particular club. Riders can still ride PL if they choose to. May need R/R occasionally but guests would be rare!

Crowds have been decent this season considering the season we have had. I would say crowds are usually around the 2,000 mark but the Poole match was 3,000+. As mentioned above Horton has done a lot to promote the club and the advert before movies at the cinema is a brilliant idea. We just have to get a decent team together for 2014!

New Generation Who Will Push On.?

I read that Lambert was beating the likes of Smolinski, Schlein and others in Germany LAST year at 14. Hopefully i can get to Brandon to watch him ride tomorrow night. -
Rumoured to be over 1,000 tickets sold but its claimed it includes FREE tickets to kids in Northampton. Desperate to get a crowd in! Only 400 season tickets sold!
-
This was SISU'S last hope of getting the Ricoh on the cheap. I would hope they will now realise they will never get to own the Ricoh and sell up asap. There is a couple of investors waiting in the wings to buy the club and the Higgs charity 50% share of the arena, there is light at the end of the tunnel but may take a while yet. Also the Ricoh is hosting a charity game, Ccfc legends v Midlands legends on Sun 11th Aug 2pm. Its the same date as ccfc first match at Northampton which apparently has sold only 500 tickets so far, Bristol City fans seem to be also boycotting by only selling 182 tickets as of yesterday. They are expecting over 10,000 to attend the Ricoh to show that we will not attend games at Northampton and raise a lot of money for charity!

The system is truely flawed. If SISU do build a new stadium this is what WILL happen. Sisu build a new stadium for CCFC using loans. The stadium will not be owned by CCFC but by SISU who will then rent out the stadium to CCFC. They will put all the debt accrued from the loans into the CCFC bank meaning putting the club and not themselves £30million + in debt therefore leaving the club in the exactly same position as we are now
-
Yes the rent was £1.2 million but the new offer is 150k. Sisu will more than likely turn it down because they want match day revenue from food and drink. New rules say clubs can only spend 60% of revenue on players wages so Sisu will use that excuse to turn it down even though there match day tickets sales will significantly increase if they moved back to the Ricoh from Northampton
-
No i dont think the Council will give them approval thats why i said surprisingly. Tim Fisher has already said the new stadium will be financed by loans, we will be £30 million pound in debt before we even move into a new stadium. We all know they want to Ricoh cheap but that is never going to happen. If we are to play at Northampton we will not finish the season that is a fact. 300 season tickets have been taken up but that also includes players families etc not paying for them. I have no idea what they are thinking! Legally that lease is still in place. They need an academy. They have left the Alan Higgs Centre, they stopped paying rent for that also.
-
If CCFC bought Brandon id think they would use it as an academy not for the new stadium. They need two sites and surprisingly its now rumoured they are looking at the old Courtaulds site on Foleshill Road/Old Church Road half a mile away from the Ricoh!
-
The Coventry Telegraph are still saying Sisu are buying the stadium but all the sports will remain there. How is this possible? Why would Sisu want to buy without having any dialogue with Rugby Council? They surely know about the planning restrictions? They need to build a stadium within 5 years but the sports will remain for ten?
-
Thats the guy, i read his name earlier but couldnt remember it! I understand he would have the funds and is involved at Brandon anyway. Would certainly make some sense.
-
When i read the statement from Coventry Stadium i get the impression they are talking to someone who is either Speedway, Greyhounds or Stock car friendly. Whats the guys name running the Greyhounds? He has been mentioned that he can afford it.
-
They would be mad to say knock the stadium down without planning permission in place for whatever they wanted to do. The site would be worth a hell of a lot more with the stadium in place. Anyway the site has a convenant for motorsports, people would be mad to buy the site for redevelopment.
-
This what City fans have had to put up with over the last few years. I find it absolutely disgusting that Sisu leaked this story, using someone elses business for their own personal gain against a company that works for the Coventry taxpayer.
-
Great news!!
-
Officially they do not own all of the club and they shouldnt being making deals on behalf of ccfc when they are still in admin. Anyway im not convinced they will build a stadium on the site more likely the academy. If they wanted to build a stadium on Brandon then they have a maximum of five years to do it. With all the legal wrangling , cost and time to build the stadium if planning was agreed is five years enough? I would doubt it. They cant even afford a new kit for this coming season let alone £1million for land!
-
Sisu are due to meet the Ricoh today or tomorrow regarding playing at the Ricoh this season. Its suggested that Sisu have released this as a tactic so the Ricoh maybe be backed into a corner and offer a low rent deal. I doubt they would get one for a stadium but the club also need a site for an acadamy. Not sure Sisu would want to pay £1million for land to house an academy though.
-
Well i was wrong. The Coventry Telegraph are reporting that Sisu are buying Brandon Stadium!
-
I have heard Brandon is not a site Sisu are looking at. The two sites seem to be the old Peugoet factory and a site near Bedworth.
