Financially sound, good promotional work, decent crowds and Coventry Storm. Negatives was obviously finishing bottom. Its not a crisis at Coventry despite what a few people say. As i said earlier though its a big 2014 for the promotion even i wont defend them if its another poor season. Long as we are in the play off hunt i will be happy, i think Horton has learned a lot about team building in 2013 and would expect an improvement. Totally agree with this post!

Of course the promotion deserves criticism but the abuse they got was not fair and in some cases abusive. We are in a much better financial position than most for 2014, thats why i say its a big year for Horton. We cant and shouldnt be as poor next year.

I agree it is his fault for the poor team but the overall criticism is very harsh. The EL was hardly a level playing field with clubs vastly over spending. BT Sport have huge gaps in their summer schedules. Speedway can help fill the gaps with a couple of meetings a week, EL and hopefully PL too.

Will the BSPA even have the tools to police this? To me it seems quite easy to manipulate financial fair play through sponsorship and other things.

Scott is no where near a 2nd string rider yet, he is in the top 20 averages in the speedway star. Yes his average has gone down but not by much and will be a good asset to have if its decided to have a much bigger league.

Agree, have Zengi as a 2nd string will mean less pressure on him to perform away. Havvy and Andersen? No chance! The rest of the side looks competitive enough, maybe someone instead of Bunyan a young Brit maybe? Its the type of side id like to see, a solid top 5 should see us get away points often. I wouldnt be at all surprised if the points limit was reduced to 39-40 points due to financial issues around the sport.

Id like to build a team similar to they way Swindon built their side, a good solid top 5 and 3-4 point reserves. Id possibily have Zengota back but as a 2nd string only.

Far more technology in cycling and sailing and obviously Show Jumping relies heavily on the quality of the horse. Looking at it that way i dont see why speedway cant be an Olympic sport but motorsport is generally a no no.

That would still happen no matter what the league structure would be but a team having Tai in it can easily still mean lowering costs. Wolves for example would have Tai but not Freddie, cost lowered.

I dont think anyone is saying get rid of Tai, as he is British he SHOULD ride in Britain.
