Our side shouldve beaten USA and Latvia, the riders should look at themselves but the management should take full responsibility. Still cant believe Kennett, Barker and Bridger were picked ahead of King!
The OP has in the past been spot on with news before,I seem to remember he told us about Richie Worrall leaving Lakeside before it became public knowledge. Still seems a long shot but I hope its true.
The council only got involved when the club was a championship club and couldn't afford the 45,000 state of the art stadium they initially proposed. Anyway the Ricoh is much more than a football stadium with a indoor arena that can hold upto 10,000 people a casino and hotel also.
The council and the club are actually talking now but club wants the freehold while the council want a rent deal. Even if the council were willing to sell I'd guess their valuations will be miles apart. At least speedway seems safe from the Sisu vultures.
Of course they will but they will need to add to their summer schedules. I dont think they have much British based sports to show that time of year. I enjoy the coverage BT have provided considering the channel is new.
The only riders bought in from other sides that I would have liked was Michelsen and Kylmakorpi the others didnt impress much. Mikkel Bech was another one but he wanted a PL spot, maybe next year.
Why not Coventry, if we are talking about trying to revive the British Final then Brandon would be the ideal venue. Fair track, easy motorway links and probably the only stadium that could cope with the crowds it used to get. If there had to be a permanent home it should maybe be Coventry but as I said earlier they should share it around.
Im all for the British Final being back at Brandon, no bias whatsoever...... seriously though im all for taking all events to different tracks every year.
Money was an issue, we were owed a lot in loan fees (allegedly) and didnt get a transfer fee that was ordered. When budgeting for the season and not getting whats due to you there isnt much you can do.
Id guess Leicester and Ipswich would be the favourites but the 3rd? I would have said Sheffield but they are up for sale, id like Somerset to make the move up looks a fantastic track.
Surely British Speedway as a whole is more important than the PL division? If that means the two leagues have to merge so be it. Both EL and PL have issues to deal with over the winter.
