Sorry should have worded that much better, to tired at that time of night! I agree with you just pointed out that as the air fence had burst there was no protection anyway and the bike did lift the fence. Air fences seem to do the same all round Europe and happened in the GPs too.
The bike actually burst the air fence which then caused it to lift. At that point even if the air fence stayed in place it wouldn't have given Chris much protection.
Id like to see us have Jacobs in the side, i hope he will be a grade B rider though.
I agree id prefer a solid 1-5. A 4 pt rider in the main body could leave us vulnerable if reserves are not performing. I think its essential that we build the side so Hansen and Fisher are 2nd strings.
Hope Brummies will run next year and name a competitive side. Id guess Barker and Covatti will be nailed on and Kennett could be a option along with Klindt. Just a number one with a whats left.
Have to remember Barker had reportedly agreed to join the Bees before changing his mind. King has put in a transfer request so the situation is a different.
We could still sign someone like Andersen but then will have a weaker 5th rider (Roynon or Summers). At a guess I dont think we will see many world class stars anyway and most teams number1 will average less than 8, if we can build a side with Hansen and Fisher as 2nd strings that would leave us very strong considering they would have heats against the reserves. Cant see either of those losing against a reserve too many times but someone like Summers its much more likely.
Birminghams promotion is likely to be different quite soon, the commercial manager has now quit!
To think that some Bees fans were using Brum as a template to how to run a club! Shambles, but I hope thet sort out there mess!
It gives a lot more detail. Says 2 reserve heats and reserves will also face 2nd strings only. Riders from PL and NL with little or no EL experience will qualify and allocation will be based on where they are an asset and/or where the rider is based. The BSPA press release had none of that information.
I take this is some sort of wind up? I dont think anyone would knock our signingsso far. With a 32 limit for the top 5 the first 3 signings have been spot on and still can go a variety of ways, an out an out number one with a 4pt 5th rider or go for a solid 1-5.
I have to say im quite impressed with our team building so far, Horton get some stick on here but at the moment he seems intent on having a real go in 2014.
