They will do ok at home but still expect a few losses and I cant see many heat winners away from home.

Chris Harris Testimonial ?
Woz01 replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Id guess it would be towards the end of the year. -
Bomber can make a start he does it well occasionally but needs a technique and/or set up so he can be a more consistant gater.

In the future Sky are likely to show meetings midweek as they have lost the champions league coverage, if there is a deal with sky of course.

Which Rider Is On The Best Value Average
Woz01 replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Kyle Howarth, averaging around 6 while at Swindon but Coventry sign him on a 4 point average. Its just a shame he misses a few meetings! -
Riders are self employed so surely any Visa application is upto them to sort out?
-
Definitely needs some consideration.

I dont see why we cant have two doubling up riders sharing one position. We would still have the occadional R/R but it would be better than what we have now.
-
I agree although I think the Bees top 5 is decent especially if Howarth continues his form from the 2nd half of last season, I believe he was averaging 6 for Swindon? Along with Kings Lynn the Bees have the best reserve pairing followed by Wolves.
-
I think it was said they will publish a list of riders who can guest nearer the start of the season. There are a few NL riders who didn't want to be in the draft but will probably be included on the 'guest list'.

Squads For Elite League Teams ?
Woz01 replied to Barrycuda's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just use the averages the riders started the season with and everytime a side is named from it cant exceed a points limit. It could be so simple to sort out. Name a squad of ten but promoters will have to bear in mind a points limit has to be adhered to for every meeting so the standard of rider in a squad would vary. Id also say each rider named would have to ride in at least 6 meetings. The logistics of bikes and mechanics etc could be an issue. -
May stuggle at some away tracks but will make the play offs easily.

Coventry has a big rivalry with Leicester in Speedway going back years. Its a bit of a rivalry in the football to, known by some as the M69 derby.

Elite Riders Championship - 25/09/2014

As I said on another thread if its going to be an invitational event then it might aswell be the Brandonapolis. I wouldnt mind say 2 invited riders but each club should be represented. -

Surely they couldnt keep it at the end of the season after all the pull outs the last few years. Its either change of date or bin it altogether, it seems theyve consulted the riders who want it early in the season. The top riders want quality meetings against quality opposition early in the season and this is ideal for them. -

Despite the EL being weaker than before surely we still have 16 riders riding in Britain to make it a top field. Woffinden, Ward, Iversen, Zagar, Bjerre, Andersen, Kildemand, Batchelor, King, Harris, Cook, Pedersen, Doyle, Schlein, Pawlicki, Janowski. May have missed some obvious ones but wouldn't this line up be decent? I agree drop the price, 20 quid would be fair. Edit: Missed the likes of Karlsson, Watt and Kylmakorpi. -
I think Id prefer the team we have to be honest, an out and out number one is needed and Nicholls isnt that. Howarth is a rider on the up and should continue the improvement shown while at Swindon. Hansen is a Brandon specialist who I think will be heat leader material at home. I would have liked Ljung, it seems a bargain average to me but im more than happy with the assembled side.

Some of these fixtures are bound to change, I really dont see us riding many gp weekends when the Storm could fill those dates. Its a problem being a Friday night track.
-
Wont some of these fixtures be held during different times? Surely some will be day meetings?
-
Zagar 8.64 Schlein 6.84 Harris 6.82 Bech 5.05 Grajczonek 4.48 31.83
-
Pawlicki shouldve been in a 4 in the 2011 season as per the rules but someone disputed that and got it changed. Good idea from both clubs, I hope it works well.

It seems Howarth will miss 8 meetings Garrity 7 and Harris 6 looking at the fixture list. Hopefully a few fixture changes happen, missing those riders that often will hinder our chances.
