  1. Coventry Stadium employ there own staff and have done so for a while. The track man quit 2 weeks ago and was replaced by a Pole who speak no English and can't prepare a track in a couple of days. Sandhu far as I'm aware is still owner of the stadium as from the last I read the sale hadn't been completed. Its a complete farce from the owners. The club and Horton are not to blame for this.
  2. What have the staff employed by the stadium been doing? Apart from a shower yesterday its been completely dry! No good enough Coventry Stadium!
  3. Andersen, Harris, Woffinden and Ward to make the final. Zagar will be threat though. Just a guess!
  4. It should be a decent surface for tonight, no rain as far as I'm aware and when I checked earlier it was due to be a dry evening. I'm sure Mr Russell will have a hand in track prep this evening, he usually does for sky meetings doesn't he?
  5. The lack of information on the night and change of announcer was a mistake by the promotion but the track is a stadium issue. The track is prepared by the stadium and not having equipment ready for any eventuality was very poor. The ref is not completely blameless either. A shambles all round.
  6. I take it you turned it off for 15 minutes then. To be fair the racing was top class that night.
  7. Rode well at Leicester last season I recall.
  8. Apart from a shower yesterday its been dry in Coventry since Friday. Sunny day so far.
  9. There is an hour of 'speedway gold' on Sky Sports 3 at 12pm.
  10. I downloaded this a few weeks back a just got an update, its a very good app that I will certainly use when watching the GPs.
  11. Yep good news, mistake admitted by the promotion and im glad David is back. Horton does act quickly when something doesnt work.
  12. Milik was hardly unearthed. Rode in the GP challange (at Poole) and the SWC final. Also I would say don't take too much from testimonials etc. He is a talent though.
  13. One thing I must say on here. The track is actually the responsibility of the stadium owners not the promotion. They basically turn up and are given a track to race on. No excuse for the poor communication though.
  14. The announcer is listed on the website, it seems he is permanent. I wasnt there last night but not one positive comment about him on here or social media. Good luck to all the boys tonight!
  15. Discount to be applied could easily mean free admission, lets just wait and see what they decide before hanging them hey? Of course EVERYONE involved deserve criticism for the farce although I will say that they always try to get the meetings on unlike others. Sometimes it makes them look silly but id rather them try and get meetings on than not being bothered. Unfortunately it seems like the meeting shouldnt have gone ahead. It wasnt the preparation that was the issue, showers in the afternoon was the problem. The time it took to decide what to do was poor though.
  16. One thing Horton is good at is if a mistake has been made he gives something back. Let's hope common sense prevails and fans with stubs are let in free of charge for the re-arranged fixture. Sounds like it should never have started.
  17. Coventry and Leicester, should be good meetings against them this year. Up the Bees!
  18. Reading the updates Harris was challenging in his 1st and 3rd rides before his bike packed up, hopefully he sorts out that issue. Garrity will be fine.
  19. Yep I forgot to add that. The amount of tracks near Coventry in particular the deal should work well. It will surely entice Brum, Wolves and Leicester fans to occasionally attend..
  20. Season ticket holders from any other club can come to Coventry or Peterborough home meetings for £10. Good work from the promotion.
  21. Speedway is a motorsport, air horns have to be part of it. As a kid I used to love pressing that button, do they even sell them at tracks these days? I also agree with others advertise it as an extreme sport kids would lap that up more.
  22. Probably. Sleeps in his bees kevlars too
  23. He has also said similar on twitter before signing for the Bees. Stating its his favourite track etc. It was his aim when he did a few meetings over here at the end of last season. Don't see many other riders as enthusiastic about signing for a club as him. I didn't say Poole shouldn't be higher than us in the betting, they should. For me 9/4 is too short, I think they will struggle at the smaller away tracks and can't see there reserves gaining many heat advantages, I only see Newman 3rd best out of the draft. Janowski goes missing too often but Pawlicki is a decent signing. Ward is obviously top notch and Grajzonek will be a decent 2nd string. Milik is the key for them but he will certainly struggle away initally.
