  1. Is Micks luck finally changing? Im sure he would much prefer we faced Poole on our regular race night and not on Sky, this would ensure a bigger crowd.
  2. Im happy about the change as I am working that night and couldnt attend.
  3. A threat of rain around 2 but apart from that it looks good. I echo the advice about Toll Bar Island, I work in the industrial estate just of it and it has taken upto 2 hours to get over the island.
  4. Looking forward to watching our side perform it pretty much ticks all the boxes for me. Having said that I dont think we will beat Birmingham by 20+, they have a few riders who go well around Brandon and Jacobs in as guest is a brilliant move by them. Think we will win by 12-14 points.
  5. Yep tomorrow looks like a dry day apart from a shower in the afternoon, yesterday it was forecast rain all day so a big change. Hopefully the rest of today can be dry.
  6. Anyone else find it a tad strange that they are looking at improving the track with this new track team yet we are being told we only have 3 years left?
  7. Forecast suggests rain on Friday, hopefully thats incorrect.
  8. Thank god, finally get back to whats important. Now get that track sorted, we are in for a good season.
  9. The Bees promotion were not the boss of the meeting though were they? Its a bspa event they call the shots, they even had there own track man Mr Russell there. There wasnt a lot any of them could do when the track curator refused to do what was asked, the question I want to know is why did the bspa wait till 5.30 to call it off? A lunchtime cancallation and this thread wouldve been half the size. Coventry Stadium released him not Coventry Speedway.
  10. I did stick it on the Peterborough match thread. I find it relevent as he is our promoter who has had a nightmare start to the season, some of it his own doing but tonight it was very unlucky.Didnt realise stock cars were running, lets hope they can sort it this week then.
  11. I didnt say there wasnt! Just passing on information some fans might be interested in. In future I will ask your permission to post on what our promotion and riders are doing at their other clubs. Happy? Probably 99%.
  12. Plus the Ice Hockey which I think was a sell out on Sunday night, think that holds 3,000 or so.
  13. Peterborough v Plymouth abandoned due to floodlight faliure, Horton isnt having much luck is he?
  14. Abandoned due to floodlight faliure, Horton not having much luck is he?
  15. The problem area (bend 1) was completely re-laid a month or two ago. I think the rest of the track is ok. I don't think Sandhu wants to drive the bees out after paying for track work. As for the stadium it has the best facilities in the country which probably tells you more about the other stadiums in the sport than anything else.
  16. I could only find figures from last season. Crowds up then and probably similar to the Bees.
  17. Maybe when a tracks wet but your right. The reserve heats last night were only a second or 2 slower, its hardly half a lap difference.
  18. Are you sure? I thought they struggle to get 1,000 through the gates these days. Edit: Just read on there website last season their crowds varied from 600-1100, Bees probably a bit higher than that but hard to know for sure.
  19. Both close to my heart, its all a bit stressful Steve!
  20. In the Coventry Observer Horton is quoted as saying he is 'hopeful' it will go ahead on Friday and also says for the sake of the club, himself and the stadium will have to agree to disagree. I think thats the attitude they have to take, the mud slinging doesnt help.
