  1. Yes I'd prefer they'd let clubs build how they like to the limit but they've got it pretty much spot on. We should see some solid line ups next year. No double points, back to the old tac sub which most on here seemed to prefer.
  2. They were going to sponsor the club to run at Brandon, if we ran at Brandon in 2017 it would've been added onto the local plan. That was the deal. If you can't see how us riding in the NL at Leicester could help Brandon Estates getting what they want then there is really no point in you adding to the thread but I can't believe you are at the level of Starman. Where's Horton getting the money from?
  3. He wouldn't have got it if I actually told him anyway 😂
  4. The assumption is the funds are coming from BE. If so it could be considered a tactic to help get what they want at Brandon.
  5. The problem is who is financing it and why. Id 100% go if it was Horton doing it off his own back but i and others dont believe that's the case. I think fans would at least give it a go if it was someone fresh and not involved in what has gone on at Brandon.
  6. There is also one called FiveOne
  7. Horton said in his statement that Brandon or a new stadium for speedway isn't viable so it's definitely not that. It's funny that what he says is exactly what Brandon Estates have said recently. Its also funny that they completely disregard Stox in all this. In most towns/cities they'd be happy that 2 sports that could attract 15000 a month to a stadium. The view that Brandon or a new stadium is unviable is a huge lie. There so many things you can do to make a stadium viable and not just within sport.
  8. What this deal has done has put us fans in a difficult situation. Follow the side at Leciester where the 'the enemies' are running the club or don't follow and they then claim the support for the club is gone.
  9. Would it work if Horton wasn't in charge, possibly. No way will this work with Horton in charge AND then the possibility of Brandon Estates helping out. Not when there is a chance Brandon Estates are involved
  10. Telegraph reporting that Mick Horton has agreed a deal for Coventry Bees to ride at Leicester in 2018.
  11. I agree. One night a week staying up a bit later is fine.
  12. Correct. He refused while Kasprzak and Woryna came from Poland to attend. I was disappointed with his decision.
  13. Lakeside have confirmed they will ride in the Championship not Premiership in 2018.
  14. As the licence is currently 'on ice' will Coventry Speedway send a representative (Mick Horton or Neil Watson) to the AGM?
  15. Cracking signing for Leicester and British Speedway. Pretty much confirms a change of race night for Leicester and would add to the rumours of a mon-thur race nights.
  16. This. My football club also do a 6 or 12 match packages for those that can't attend every match, speedway could do something similar.
  17. First if all the bspa need to understand why fans have stopped going or attending sparingly. For me the biggest issue for that is the amount of guests being used. Massively reduce that and I believe that fans who have stopped going will start going and those attending only occasionally will start going a bit more. Hopefully then that will have a knock on effect to enticing new fans to the sport. A settled 1-7 who are turning up week in week out is the first step and fixed race nights will hugely help. It needs to happen.
  18. Not true. My club CCFC had a player on loan who also played for his parent club reserves.. It does happen!
  19. I couldn't care less if riders in my clubs 1-7 rides for another club, you get similar situations in most sports. What should be important is that a clubs 1-7 turns up week in week out.
  20. Work on this has been going on since 2014 when we set up Facebook and Twitter accounts along with meetings with various people involved. It involved a fair few people with speedway and stox connections along with a couple of people who are millionaires I gather. Already put in a pre planning application for a site but I don't know what's going on with that exactly.
  21. Yes a team with money are likely to rise to the top but grading will make it far easier for them while at the same time clubs who are not as well off will struggle further. Averages work, no need to change that, it just needs to be applied correctly.
